I went to wicksteed last sunday, mainly for their water chute:
and the twin nautic jets
However -the chute was still on it's winter closedown
this guy was cleaning the water out....
The boat is taunting me through the trees
and the nautic jets were also out of action - I think they're being decomissioned, they're not on the map, and the queue line signs were blank, also - the observant will have noticed the lack of boats on the ramp!
I was rather miffed, and forgot to take any more pics of the area!
first ride was on the swinging ship
there are 2 unusual things about this ride
1 - it is actually 2 sides
2 - the 4 rows of seats are face to face
and one not so unusual fact - they were only running one side at a time
Next up was the train - which helped me realise just how big the place was!
What's that across the pond?
OOOH - a cred!
How DID that car get there?
TUNNEL CRED!
credits-wise - I wasn't sad enough to ride this:
But i did ride this:
and also what the website http://www.wicksteedpark.co.uk/content.aspx?cid=49 describes as "a spectacular ride and a great example of shape and structure."
ahh - the sign of quality:
it was pretty rattly!
if it was in denmark, they'd put a megalite here:
