Were The Trims On Th13teen Planned From The Start?

By this I mean, were the trims that are all over Th13teen, at Alton Towers, in all of the original planning? Were they always meant to be there or were they a quick addition later on when someone felt the need for them?

I don't know if any of you will know the answer, but it's worth an ask, surely?

I don't think trims are generally planned, but I have a optimistic feeling that they may remove them sooner or later.

Yeah I wouldn't have thought such severe trims would have been planned in advance. But what do I know....

It's a kiddie coaster. Like most big apples are trimmed, so is this one. I'll bet they have a limit on the forces allowed to operate for the basic coaster "class". So a kiddie mine-train like Th13teen has to be designed with this in mind.

That's just conjecture by the way... The restraints and trains will be designed with certain "load limits" though which will have to be taken into account when they design the ride - they may be much wider than I imagine mind...
