Made it back from media day-- now it's just a matter of getting all these pictures and stuff organized. In the next day or two I should have a review, photo gallery, and some other stuff up here.

In short, though, it was a lot of fun. Nice floating airtime. It was particularly strong as you moved farther back in the train. The trim brakes did grab, not noticeably on the hills, although the mid course chopped off some speed. All in all it was definitely the best coaster in the park, and one of the best rides in the region.

We had a chat with Dick Kinzel, spoke with the Director of Marketing, the Lieutenant Governor for South Carolina, and Bart Kinzel, the park's Vice President. Missed out on getting to talk to Walter Bolliger, but we did get some pictures.

Full review jord? :p

Haha well Im working on my ride count. But best coaster I personally have rode. But not saying that wont change next week. Also I will be at opening day tomorrow. Im torn. Hoping for short lines but also want it to be a HUGE turnout it will be great for Carowinds. This is definitely going to impact the park, its a great addition.

Well first off the view of Charlotte skyline at the top is beautiful. Best seat for me was the 4th row. Trims grabbed very little gave you that perfect air time. The mid course breaks varied. Twice it just barely grabbed, but once it grabbed pretty hard. It was great from the first hill to the last. Favorite part was the turn around and the first drop(has a great free falling feeling). The helix had great speed too.

:) Sorry for the choppy sentences. Long day.

And we get <img> Th13teen...

haha. Carowinds is finally worth now making a trip to.

I heard it was better than Diamondback, and Nitro. Not as great as Apollo's Chariot.

Diamondback & Nitro are both better than Apollo's Chariot & so is Behemoth, for that matter. I'm looking forward to riding this next week to see just where it ranks among the B&M floaters. I will be surprised (pleasantly) if it's better than D-back or Behemoth, but I'm expecting it to be better than Nitro & I know it's going to blow the doors off Apollo's Chariot.

I also think Goliath is better than Apollo's Chariot & I've ridden every B&M floater other than Goliath at La Ronde, Hollywood Dream: The Ride at Universal Studios Japan & Intimidator (of course).
As far as Charlotte, I know my way around since we spent a lot of time there during my days at Clemson. I've also been going to Carowinds since opening day (yes, I'm that old), so I know my way around the park pretty well too. Thanks for the offer though.
