Mushroom
Goon of the Year
Last week I decided sod it, I want a couple of days away from the UK, just getting tired of going to places and not visiting them! Alicante was chosen, as it had Terra Mitica. On Thursday I flew from Leeds Bradford airport. Due to a technical problem, my flight got delayed by 3 hours =[ Ugh, luckily I went into the Premier lounge, which had free booze =]
Eventually got there and checked into my hotel, and couldn't believe I booked a really nice hotel!
Which was near a tram stop called MARQ
Popped to the shop and found some Duff!
Went for a walk by the beach, and someone made a epic sandcastle!
There was a marina too, which one is my boat?
In the evening I played with my camera from my hotel room =]
That was day 1! Yesterday (13th) Was the Terra Mitica day! The last of the major parks I had to do in Spain. So onto the tram!
Random scenery on the way.
And I am there!
Annoyingly from the tram stop there was no information on how to get to the park, anywhere! So I walked up there, which took over 30 mins up-hill! Not impressed! Eventually I got there (with some Fluch Von Novgorod & Oblivion songs coming on randomly on my iPod =])
Got in (got my ticket the day before on Ryanair for €27, on-line price was €28!) and was greeted by the Egyptian theme.
There were lots of school kids around in big groups. They were all annoying in a way. After the walk up the hill, I was greeted by their SLC, Titanide!
Usual crap from the SLC, rough in places, but hey, its a coaster. As it was a warm day, a water ride was needed. La Furia de Triton, a Intamin water ride. Was pretty decent, and was needed. I decided to try and get a ride on Magnus Colossus, and there was only 1 way towards it. Luckily there was a coaster en-route, Alucinakis, a Zamperla hybrid coaster (Steel coaster with a wooden structure).
It was a ok little coaster, and it had 2 circuits! Next, Magnus Colossus!
AND it was a walk-on =]
Back row was elected. OH MY **** GOD! This coaster was EXTREMELY bad! Just couldn't believe it! Rattled me all the way through the course of the track, and the helix of death. Well one must continue onto the next. Intamin Ball coaster, Inferno!
Exact copy of Kirnu at Linnamaki, was fun, and this was the same. But not as good as Insane at Grona Lund.
Shame it had a green colour scheme, not red. Nearby was their drop tower, El Vuelo Del Fenix.
Fantastic looking ride into a Colosseum, I believe this drop tower is the Intamin 2nd Generation tower. Rapidos De Argos was next, a rapids ride obviously. I saw a tweet earlier in the day from Az saying they are good. Got onto it and found it was ok, you could see where it had to travel and not properly themed I felt.
I did find some dodgems, they were slow, and had too many cars on it. Just couldn't get enough speed up on them. I was feeling quite tired, so I took the boat ride near the entrance. Was nice just to relax on it for a little bit.
It was time to check out the other rides I missed, which included first up the log flume I past at the start of the day as there was a lot of kids that went on it to start with. Luckily it was also a walk on. Quick ride, and not too bad drops. Just annoying that the biggest drop was the first one. Though it is placed where most people can see it.
Walked along, and saw a queue line, thought I would enter it. Found out it was their dark shooty ride. Was quite poor, it was the same system used on the one at Walibi Belgium, which is fantastic. Was thinking to do the SLC again, but there was the motion simulator, but the exterior looked fantastic!
The motion simulator film was strange, and very rough. I went and had a sit down and get a little bit of food, and take pictures of Syknope.
Decided to take on Magnus again.
I wanted to make sure my opinions earlier of the coaster were justified, and they were, even though I did sit in the front car. This is my least favourite wooden coaster ever. Antelope at Gullivers had that accolade, but now this has. Absolutely awful! Funny thing is, on a leaflet that I picked up, it said Alucinkas was a 'Replica of Magnus Colossus'. I prefer to ride that rather than the proper one.
I saw earlier a really rare ride, a Mondial Super Nova, La Colera De Akiles. It is like Bone Shaker/Energizer at Alton Towers. It was quite awesome, I forgot how good these things are. glad to ride one of these again.
After this I decided to head back to the hotel as I needed to rest up, as I had a early flight this morning. Well stupidly early, just 1 flight a day from Alicante to Leeds. Not fun! The flight back to Leeds was smooth and had no problems at all, nice sweeping left turn after take off had a nice view
And we flew over Portsmouth and Southampton =]

And that was my trip! Hope you enjoyed reading it =]
