Surplus track piece in Raptor's queline

Upon visiting Gardaland in 2011 (Raptor's opening year), I noticed this in the queue line and believe it has subsequently been removed:

Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks in advance.

It may well have been some part of the transfer track or maintenance track that was subsequently remove. It's not designed to be on any of the 'proper' bits of the coaster, so my guess is it was either an alignment piece, or just a piece of excess that wasn't used from one of the sheds. Although it is fitted with sensors too, so maybe it was something from the station?
