^So what? It's still what they are called. I don't get why you are bringing that up.

I brought it up because you, in essence, said that Cedar Fair reused names often. I was merely pointing out that most of the names you mentioned weren't even Cedar Fair's decision, and therefor, can't be used in an argument that Cedar Fair reuses names.

Either way, I think both chains recycle and reuse ideas to often. Eg, 4 Tony hawk rides and 5 Windseekers. Both Cedar Fair and Six Flags.
anyways, does anyone know when deja vu is being moved?
If im not mistaken it is already closed correct?

Actually what I was saying, in essence, is that they reuse names far less than Six Flags. I was referring to Cedar Fair parks not the company itself. I get what you are saying I just don't think there was a point in saying it. I was just pointing out something I found funny, simply put.

Re: SFMM losing coaster, SFNE gaining said coaster

^These sort of things really piss me off. Why the hell is a little wooden marker stuck in the grass a coaster (or new ride) straight away? I could be the spot for a new lamppost, bin, sign, path, toilet, refreshment stand etc. Sure, it might be a coaster, but one little wooden stick means LITERALLY nothing.

Grrr...

It could also be that they are surveying the park as well.

I think the wooden marker IS the new attraction. Don't get your hopes up, people.

Well the guy was asking if we know what the markings mean and I think I've got it! "CP" obviously is a reference to Cedar Point and "600" is clearly a reference to that the new coaster is 600ft tall. It must be a stratacoaster (like TTD from CP) that will be 600ft tall. I think this is the easiest riddle ever!!! :p

Press release:
Six Flags New England Announces Goliath –
A Coaster of Epic Proportions for the 2012 Season

Six Flags New England, home to the largest collection of coasters in the Northeast, today announced the addition of Goliath a suspended looping boomerang coaster that will leave guests wondering which way is up! New England’s newest coaster will reside in the Crack Axle Canyon section of the park and will make its debut in late spring of 2012.

The ride experience will begin when guests are strapped into chairs suspended from the track above, Goliath sends riders dangling face-down out of the station and up the first tower. Once riders reach the top of the tower they are dropped into a complete vertical 18-story free-fall reaching speeds of 65 miles-per-hour before racing head-over-heels on the outside of a
102-foot-tall vertical loop followed by an enormous 110-foot-tall butterfly turn before rocketing up the second 19-story tower. Think that’s all…hold on, there’s more as guests are sent rocketing back through the entire experience all over again with nothing beneath their feet but earth
and sky.

“Six Flags New England is thrilled to announce the addition of Goliath to our already amazing arsenal of rides,” said Jason Freeman, Six Flags New England park president. “This ride delivers pure adrenaline from start to finish and solidifies our commitment to adding high volume fun for the entire family.” Goliath joins an incredible line up of coasters including: Cyclone, Batman The Dark Knight, Mind Eraser and of course the top rated steel coaster, Bizarro.

^ Im too happy with all the new rides to get annoyed at Six Flags for re-using names.
Ill get over it, at the end of the day who gives a crap.
Couldve just stuck with the Deja Vu theme, but I really doubt a name change is going to affect the ride at all.

I'm far more concerned about them including Cyclone and Mind Eraser as "incredible" at this point. I guess they weren't going to come right out and say "our coasters are dire", but still.

^ haha. Yeah they definetly needed new rides. SFNE seems to be more of a family park. Its good that theyre adding more rides like this though.

Number wise, this will be the 2nd tallest and 2nd fastest coaster at SFNE.

Never been on a GIB, so I won't know what to expect for when I ride it next summer.
