TWO rare flats I'll never get (or at least a rare variant of one)...

EDIT: Or the 2004 one might end up being Big Easy Balloons, but either way looks like I'll never be getting Mardi Gras Hangover. Fun Fact: I was actually AT the park twice in 2018-2019, but never got to ride either Revolution or MGH due to reasons (the vomit-out for 2018 and not being allowed on the thrill rides for 2019). GRRRRR

Construction update:

The ugly shared entrance portal building for American Eagle and Dare Devil Dive was demolished.

Plenty of updates from Six Flags Great America recently, park is extremely busy this offseason.

Various overhauls are happening at the JB's Bar (artwork below) and new Coaster Candy location. Lots of ride refurb work is on the docket, such as a new control system for Whizzer, lift chain replacements on Joker and American Eagle, some retracting on Viper, and the Condor's scheduled reopening after a multiple-year hiatus.


The knife has come down on County Fair as they prepare for Sky Striker. Gone are the Kidzopolis ship playground, American Eagle/Skycoaster entrance portal, various games, and of course Revolution. Here be a few images of the cleared midway and Revolution coming down.




Mardi Gras Hangover is of course departed as well, no tears have been shed.

Both Mardi Gras Hangover and Revolution will seemingly live on, with both rides today delivered to Niagara Amusement Park. Hopefully these get built, but as someone who's now getting these rides dumped in my backyard I support this. Apparently the superloop was really poo but it's giant and will absolutely stand out in its new lower-profile home;

King Chaos ( Huss Top Spin) was also removed from the storage yard recently.

Flight seems to be on schedule if not touching down a little early. Foundations and the ride pad are complete, ride hardware is yet to be sighted, and it's aimed to be ready for the park's seasonal opening day on April 20;
