I'm assume everyone knows what PRISM is by now but for those that haven't heard about the UKs Tempora program here's a link to a news article (it's from Al Jazeera because the worthless American press hasn't aired it as far as I know), the wikipedia article is also good and the Guardian has an article too.
I personally wasn't that surprised by Snowden's leaks, call me paranoid but I never really trusted the government or large corporations. PRISM alone is only shocking due to the way that FISA court seems to be nothing more than a rubber stamp that never denies a warrant request. Tempora on the other hand is rather shocking because of the breach of the fourth amendment by simply getting information from a country that doesn't have a similar guaranteed right.
So what do you think?
