I'll admit more than a passing obsession with the idea of Merlin acquiring a northern park like Lightwater Valley or Flamingoland; I just think it would fit their portfolio perfectly, and move LWV to another level. But here's another take on it for you... how about the Dragon's Den suggestion!
It is obviously unlikely that the park would ever be wholly bought by Merlin, but how about (*said in best Duncan Bannatyne voice*) an offer of a 10% stake with investment in the park, and with the likes of the Merlin Annual Pass linked to the park, in return for a proportion of the profits.
