I have this friend...

Okay, I have this friend who likes coasters a lot but not as much as I do and he totally underrates coasters. When I'm with him, I'm not sure if he would like to ride some stuff. I like to ride classic rides as well as new rides at parks, and I think he has no respect for some of the classic coasters. Should he be like that? What should I do to get him to respect them more?

Ride more.. plain and simple. I mean, it always depends on the person, as some love the classics and some despise them, but you can never force someone to like anything.

If he doesn't like something you don't.. Oo well really.

Murder is an option, but seriously, your friend might just enjoy the pure thrills of rides, rather than the heritage behind them.

As long as it doesn't stop you from enjoying them, though, surely it's not really an issue?
