A goon is something particular to CF, but it comes essentially from (I think the original source anyway) what you'd call henchmen.
You know, Al Capone goes up against Eliot Ness in a war of words. As Capone says something witty like "now put an egg in your shoe and beat it Ness", the henchman goes "yeah, dat's right! you walk with eggs in your shoes and dey make your socks all sticky. Nyuck nyuck, nyuck"
On CF, it's an endearing term for people who are slight "social misfits". Not particularly thick or stupid, but just who don't quite know how to interact with others, or often miss the point/joke.

As it is a he, I might as well assume you are referring to me. I have not left and will still be on particular CF Lives. I am just posting a lot less as cosplay, parties and more things I won't go into have taken over my life.

In all fairness to Steven, it has been a while since I've had the pleasure of his company at a theme park, so I'll be intrigued come GhosterForce to see how his recent socialising has changed him.
To me, CF is sort of a social experiment. I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, backgrounds and lifestyles and then seeing how they interact and develop as the years go by. People fascinate me.

A goon will also do things like spot a trending fashion (maybe a sig and avatar set a lot of people seem to suddenly be sporting). Then they'll join in, uninvited into the "in joke" and somehow actually miss the point of the in-joke and just make themselves look like a complete idiot.
