Normally we wouldn't really care about a park installing a Wave Swinger, but then Glenwood Caverns is not a normal park. With the success of the Giant Canyon Swing and the Cliffhanger roller coaster, Glenwood Caverns has decided to continue to take advantage of the park's unique location on a mountaintop by building the world's highest Wave Swinger, which will be located between the two aforementioned attractions and swing riders out approximately 1,400 feet above the Colorado River. The swing, which is under construction near Venice, Italy, will resemble a large tree with a brown trunk and green foliage at the top. Upon completion in early April, it will travel by ship to the U.S. for installation and will be open to the public in May.
The park is currently holding a contest for naming the ride, with voting on their Facebook page open until Wednesday.

I really like Giant Canyon Swing and believe this ride could be just as thrilling in spite of being a family attraction.

The park is also moving their Soaring Eagle Zip Ride to a better location to offer better views.

Re: Glenwood Caverns | Unknown | Zamperla Wave Swinger

Location of a ride plays a big part.

Take for example the "small" 200ft Star Flyer on Galveston Pier. Dumped on a parking lot somewhere, it would be bland, but position it so it takes riders on a windy, frightening trip 230ft above the sea and it becomes awesome.

Chair Swings are pretty meh, but positioned on the end of a canyon, erm, yeah!

The ride is scheduled to open on Friday. The photo below was taken last week, so it looks like it will be a quick construction process.

The ride was fully assembled and tested at the SBF/Vista factory in Italy before being shipped to Colorado, where it will be modified to look like a tree.
