I've probably already mentioned this a few times, but... bored/excited time, so I will again.
In 72 hours time, I shall be in Manchester, waiting for Dream Theater to come on stage :D
... and in 96 hours time, I'll be in Wembley, doing exactly the same thing. This makes me happy.
Encores consisting of 19:16 long songs are a fun game... :)

I've literally been counting down the months to Bloctober, and now it's just a matter of days...
I'm gonna get a set list even if it kills me! :D

^ Lucky you! I have to wait til the 31st to see Bloc Party :(

Anyways, just got back from Southampton Guildhall after seeing Enter Shikari (for the 2nd time) with support from The Devil Wears Prada.

ES were amazing live, as I had heard before but the acoustics and the general atmosphere from the crowd didn't really help, most people seemed like they didn't want to be there. The support band were that great either imo, sure they had an okay sound, but their songs sounded all the same!

Overall not a bad night!

Seen them twice already, and they've just been announced for Rock AM Ring; 3rd year in a row that I'll be going :)

... Few of you care, but hopefully those who care enough to be jealous will find this post xD

Getting Dance of Eternity tonight was exciting enough... but then when it flowed into One Last Time... and THEN The Spirit Carries On!!!! Completely unexpected times, and made my ****ing night. Probably the only way DT could have bettered that was following it with Finally Free - or better yet, replacing In The Name of God with Endless Sacrifice.

But yeah - awesome gig, and lucky enough to get 4 tracks from the new album - hope they're as good as that at Wembley... tomorrow night xD
DT fanboyism is a fun game :)

I went and saw Editors last night, and I was most surprised by them, I'm not really a massive fan and I only really knew their 'mainstream' songs that have been released, but they are probably one of the best bands I've seen live!

The crowd wasn't very energetic until the encore, when they played 'Papillon' and the fantastic hook "It kicks like a sleep twitch" blasted out and the crowd went mental! Granted it sounded a lot more rock-esque live and I found myself in the middle of a half arsed mosh pit (more like pushing about, but still fun none-the-less!)

Bring on Bloc Party on Saturday :p

Urm... you should have been at the BIC on Saturday night then ;)

Bloc Party!

Wow. Wow. Wow! They were absolutely amazing! From the moment they made their entrance to the end of the 2nd encore the energy in the building was absolutely insane, even in the balcony where I was, reluctantly, sat.

Massive highlights of the night were One More Chance, The Prayer, Flux and of course Helicopter (my favourite song!), and to top it off Kele said it was "...truly the best night of the tour" although he may have said this every other night  but it was also the last Bloc Party gig in the UK for the foreseeable future :(

Here is a video I got of 'Helicopter', http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=166102794665.

I was going to see Prodigy and Pendulum (and Enter Shikari...but they're ****) at The National Bowl in MK in July, however, when going to order my tickets, it turns out that almost £10 on top of the ticket is bloody booking fee and postage. It's just too much. £42.50 is fine for the ticket, but £52 is just stupid.

Stupid charges mean fans lose out on attending.

Real fans would find the money, thus creating a brilliant atmosphere instead of only attracting semi-interested people.
