Hey all!

If you're driving North on the M6, which junction are the brown signs for Alton Towers? Is this the best route to go and if not, which is better?

I'll be driving from Bristol, up the M5, then onto the M6 at Birmingham. Just so you know.

Thanks.

Junctions 13 through 16 might have them but not 100% sure...

Best way to to either turn off one of them and go through Stafford (13 and 14) through Uttoxeter or Stoke (15 and 16) and a route I don't know...

Someone else may have a better answer...

Junction 13. You need to head through Stafford (careful of all the speed cameras) to the A518 to Uttoxeter. It's well sign posted from there.

There are no signs in Stafford though, so you have to follow for the A518 Uttoxeter.

Wave at Benin as you pass the uni on the way out of town ;)

Stoke will take you considerably out of your way (both in mileage and time).

Junction 14 is an option if you miss 13. I've timed both routes though and it's equal in time terms, but going to 14 is about 5 miles further :)

Brilliant. Thanks furie!

I think that seems like a more logical route. Thanks again!

^ The junction 13 one is the one given by AA maps on the net...we used it earlier in the week, but it's not signposted the whole way from the motorway as others have said. It's pretty straightforward though! :)

I thought that junction 15 at stoke was the best way.

If you're coming from the North, then yes.

Otherwise, not even slightly :)
