The Ultimate is the noteworthy coaster of 1991.

What a coincidence that it would open that year considering my strong affection for the ride.

Of the 24 coasters that opened in 1972, only 6 are still in operation. Of those, I've ridden 3:
Racer - Kings Island
Fairly Odd Coaster - Kings Island
Fire In The Hole - Silver Dollar City

I did ride the Wildcat at Martin's Fantasy Island, before it was removed and I've seen Jet Coaster at Wonder Rakutenchi, but it did not open on the day I was there.

1995 is dull.

I was born in 1994 so the coasters that spring into my mind are:

Nemesis
Shockwave (Drayton Manor)
PMBO
Raptor
Batman The Ride (SFMM)

I find that reaaalllyyy weird. I remember Nemesis opening. I was only 5 like but I do remember.

Anyway for me Treetops Coaster in Oakwood, and Goudurix in Parc Asterix. =D

Let's see, 1985...

-Phoenix (Knoebels)

-Avalanche Run (later known as Disaster Transport)

-Z-Force (later known as Flashback at SFMM...now known as scrap metal)

-SkyRider (Canada's Wonderland...coaster is now gone)

-Mindbender (Galaxyland...continues to pummel riders with insane Gs to this day.)

I'm sure there's more...

Oh, and as an added bonus, the Cannonball Loop waterslide at Action Park in NJ opened in 1985. It was the only waterslide to ever incorporate an actual vertical loop. Needless to say it's gone now!
