There will be no expectations for me either. I'm thinking it will be a very fun re-rideable coaster;
a little thrilling and not a family ride.

I'm sure that the coaster will be thrilling at that speed, RITA queen of speed is only short and doesn't have any inversions like this coaster, and Rita is still thrilling..
Of what I have seen from the coaster it looks very thrilling.

The track really does look vertical on this photo

They look solid and if anything probably stronger than most due to the spread.

Do you really think that they would build a ride that would collapse :)

As much as I do not see the point at least they have done something new and different. They could have easily just made the whole thing one big turn, bust went for someone unique.

They must be pretty strong, just the parts that stick out give you the idea that it's gunna snap off..
Un-realistic I know  [/code]

Intamin has had issues before with having to redesign supports before...

I think these will look better once the track is on. Intamin's track is pretty strong by itself.

I think the figure of 8 is cool. It's unusual, and I don't mind elements which supposedly "kill" pacing. I like Nemesis' stall turn and I like that Montu's first and second half are very different and separated by that MCBR.

I can see that figure of 8 being designed as a suspense builder. Whether or not the designers were being that avante-garde is beyond me, but my logic is that if that first half is supposed to be intense - even if it's visual intensity from ground hugging, fast-paced, dashing about, the such an element away from that, high up and slow is a chance to think OH GOD WHATS NEXT, open your eyes and catch your breath, before ****ting yourself again.

Of course, this won't exactly work with most of us, but I think it's possible to still appreciate a design like that.

Alternatively, is it a visual design aspect for onlookers? Busch are big on these, and they usually involve a part of the ride which is slow and gives onlookers the chance to look at riders and laugh at their faces.

^ I'm sure they will do. It's quite a common concept, nothing too unique to cause a lot of set backs I bet.

I bet the coaster itself will be up in no time but the surrounding area will be at a much steadier pace. Coasters tend to be built fairly rapidly, but then there's much more to do after the 'frame' has been put up that seems to take a while.

There, my brilliant coaster tech knowledge!

I was there two weeks ago. Pictures don't really give us an idea of how spread out this thing is going to be. There is a lot of land involved, tons of footers to put in, and many holes to dig.

Went today, nothing new from the RCPro updates except they had put up more of the MCBR.
