Or completely devastated, if you prefer that expression.

Pictures of what the park used to be like:

On the brighter side, it appears that Morey's Pier survived well enough. But I think Casino Pier will have to dismantle some of their rides - that is, what is left of them.

Picture by Alexander Jackson Dickey. Discovered on CoasterGallery's Facebook.

Wait, have rcdb already crossed out Star Jet? Sheesh, they are quick this time round. Rides on this pier (rollercoasters) seemed so unique, too bad they will be gone now :(

Jesus, I saw on twitter that there was a coaster in the ocean but I didn't realise it'd still be intact lul

Funtown Pier is gone, too. So far according to the owner they've lost the Looping Coaster, Mighty Mouse, and The Family Coaster. Basically all of Seaside Height's boardwalk has been destroyed, thanks to Sandy.

Guess Jerry can't take any one else to those two places anymore... got the creds earlier in the year anyway.

regardless of the joke, holy ****. In a nutshell.

At least most of Casino stayed alive but Funtown has most of its good chunks missing.

Only three notable rides that have survived are the Typhoon (Frisbee), the Twister, and the Tower of Fear.

Also very glad to see that Lance and other media only give an honest **** about Casino Pier, when it's neighbor obviously got the brunt of the blast.

Btw, the Mighty Mouse that was destroyed in Funtown Pier is 53 years old. It used to travel the American Fair circuit in the 1950s and then was put in storage until a park in Ocean City bought it. Then Billy Majors bought it from them in 2004. There are only two other coasters of its kin in the world now.

Those pictures are incredible. I know it's nothing compared to the rest of the damage over there, but it's something that we can put into context a little easier... Maybe?

At least people got the creds, so that's okay ;)

My goodness. I hope everyone among the surrounding area have been evacuated fully and are OK. There goes another coaster I never got a cred for :(

Christie didn't make it mandatory, there are people still stuck on that island until the bridges are opened up for people to get over there.

So far the only death I've heard of with this hurricane is a girl in Vancouver getting hit in the face with a sign.

EDIT: Well according to fox the death toll is 46, and no mention of what states the people were located in.

^MTV did a report showing the "Jersey Shore" house was not damaged by hurricane Sandy.

Most of the deaths were in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut & Virginia. Most were struck by falling trees. It's really unbelievable that no one died in the massive fire at Breezy Point that destroyed 110 homes.

I didn't see this topic before & posted the following in the Cyclone topic, but it belongs here.

Kimi, Jer & I went there in the days leading up to the U.S. CF-Live to get the credz. I filmed all the coasters & will try to get them posted on our YouTube channel ASAP, but it could take a couple of days since we still don't have power.
I'll also be making a trip down the Jersey Shore in a few days, once they allow the public back across the bridge to Seaside Heights, to capture as much as I can on video to post along with the POVs I filmed this summer.

The other topic is about the Coney Island Cyclone surviving Sandy & this one is about Casino & Fun Town Pier (even though some people posted photos of Casino & Fun Town Pier, myself included, in that topic) being devastated by Sandy.
