B&M hypers are certainly fun but I've never understood them in the context of a top ten!
Finally got my lazy ass to Cedar Point to ride Steel Vengeance, so in addition to adding that to my top ten, I did a little revamp.
1. Eejanaika- I highly doubt anything will match the insanity of this coaster. It is unlike anything I've ever experience and I screamed/belly laughed the entire way through.
2. Steel Vengeance- So much airtime, such a fantastic variety of elements, and overall just an absolutely perfect roller coaster. Intense in all the best ways for me! Also going through the structure was really reminiscent of Boardwalk Bullet because I thought it was ending and it just kept going. And going. Relentlessly.
3. Storm Chaser- I had a hard time between this and Steel Vengeance because the airtime on this is just unlike anything I've ever felt. I heard it's back to the slow wheels but when I rode it, it was insane. I adore the first drop as well.
4. Hades 360- This is where my top ten has been quite heavily adjusted. I really love RMC don't get me wrong, but sometimes I see them through rose coloured glasses (Outlaw and Iron Rattler specifically). Hades was just excellent and such a fun surprise.
5. Wicked Cyclone- While it does lose pacing at the end, it's still a great ride. It was my first RMC so I'd love to reride it to see how I'd rank it now.
6. Wildfire- Such a wonderful amalgamation of elements, it just lacks the amazing airtime that some of the others have. Aesthetically pleasing and a great, rerideable ride.
7. Voyage- Such classic wooden goodness, I still cry over the fact that they changed it but it's still a fantastic ride. Not sure whether I prefer this or Wildfire.
8. Boardwalk Bullet- Probably the most pleasant coaster surprise of my life. Had no idea what to expect and the ride just never stopped. Good airtime, wonderful use of space, and a great sense of speed.
9. Bizarro- Smooth, fun, rerideable, and has fantastic airtime. It's one of the most perfect steel coasters out there before the days of RMC.
10. Skyrush- Aggressive and truly an amazing ride experience. I always forget about it when I do my top ten.
-------------
11. Outlaw Run- I liked it but I wasn't super blown away considering the short duration of the ride. What's there is good, I just wish it was a wee bit longer.
12. Iron Rattler- Suffers from the same issue as Outlaw Run! So short, but this one loses the pacing only to get you excited with a second fantastic drop and then send you directly into the brakes. The first drop is incredible though.
13. Maverick- An awesome mix of everything people love in coasters! Great drop, great launch, and great elements.
14. Fury 325- Yay so fun! Smooth, floaty, and has good airtime. Similar to Bizarro in a lot of ways.
15. Goliath SFGAm- Such a great RMC with one of the best first drops and zero G rolls ever. Just too short.
