So, out of the two main warerslide manufacturers, which one do you think is better and why?

Personally, I am a big fan of proslide, as I only live about 5 hours from their HW, and hope to work their someday.. However, I also live many of whitewater's rides, and have had the oportunity to ride many more of their slides.

I kinda lost a bit a bit of respect for Whitewater when they they blatantly COPIED the Tornado with their "Abyss" product:

Well, I guess so, but IMO that sort of stuff is expected in the ride industry... Just look at Vekoma SLCs & B&M inverts, or the countless HUSS frisbee clones. Hey, even pros life copied Whitewater's boomerango with the tornado wave... And then there's stuff like bowl slides, which everyone copies.. Even the smaller companies.

On another note, I sort of find Whitewater to be more like the Intamin of slides, pushing the boundaries, but sometimes sacrificing reliability, whereas proslide seems more like B&M, more conservative and pushing less limits nowadays, but being more safe/reliable.

Proslide made the 2 longest water coasters in the world at the same park, if that's not pushing the boundaries I don't know what is

Well, maybe my analogy wasn't so great, but from what I've heard, proslide is the most reliable water slide company.

Proslide. The best waterslide I've been on is Kinnaree at Siam Park, the re-ride value is non-stop, it's so much fun.

Does anyone know the type of this slide? As it has both the funnel element, and the quarter-bank/overbank, I'd love to see if theres any others like this.

Proslide market it is as "WORLDalley", which is basically a catch all term for any of their slides which combine two different elements: http://www.proslide.com/ride/worldalley-2/

The Tropical Cyclone at CenterParcs Evelden Forest is another example..Has a Bowl element and Tornado in the one slide:

Proslide win... hands down.

Proslide's quality is absolutely staggering. You don't find and bumps or grooves from one slide sector to the next, whereas Whitewater are VERY hit and miss.

When have they added the slide to the park? It looks like so much fun. :)

I think it's kinda telling that on the Aqualoop slides you now have to wear a board on your back to protect the skin.

I've been on one of their toilet bowl slides too at a Swim Centre in Melbourne...Very painful!

Looking over Whitewater, I have ridden a number of their slides that I thought were Proslide, such as the two-person raft bowls, body bowls, and mat racers.

Proslide Bowls and Water Coasters are fab, and probably push it over Whitewater.

However, there is nothing like a good lazy river.

They added it last year, I was completely unaware of it when I went. It was tucked right out the way and it seems there is a lot of land for further development happening. It has phenomonal scenery/views, plus the steep drop towards the end gives some amazing airtime, and a bruised arse...

Still the best thing there! :)

Sounds cool, I've been there in 2010 and the park was just amazing, although it was quite packed (probably because it was the only day in the week that was decent enough to visit a water park) and the water was unusually cold (less than 20 degrees C)
