The legoland parks have been popping up pretty frequently recently. Although how many of the proposed parks actually come to fruition is debatable. But here are the plans for the Japanese park in Nagoya.

Looking at that 2nd image I can see a Mack Wild Mouse, Vekoma Roller Skater, Dragons Apprentice coaster and a clone of Polar X-Plorer in Denmark. The park is set to open in spring 2016 so will be interesting to see if it actually happens.

Looks quite advanced - might actually happen. I wonder how many Japanese companies bought Merlin shares recently!

The Technic Coaster, presumably?

Do Legolands have precedent for a Roller Skater Coaster? I don't know those.

This is not new news, a LEGOLAND park in Japan has been on the books for years, and I think it is going to be on hold, because they are also building a new park in South Korea. Robbie they do build Roller Skater's, because that's what the Dragon coasters are.

I know the parks not new but id not seen the plans before. While theres little news on from lego some Japanese sites with articles in December talk about talks going on with the Government about traffic so It doesn't sound like its definitely on hold.

In fact Nagoya are holding an environmental assessment hearing on February 22nd

And Legoland have only built 1 roller skater before and it was custom. (Legoland California) They do have a standard one in Florida but it was already there when the Legoland brand took over the park.

Ta for the replies about roller skaters. Still not sure which is what, but it's basically just a Dragon coaster... so this Legoland will be pretty much the same as every other.

Looks great, but why does it have to be in China?

I'm going to blame it on averaging 3 hours sleep per day for going on about a year now. I'm always tired, but never sleepy, if that makes sense.

So, anyways. This certainly took a big step up from just being a Lego Discovery Center which is what the initial announcements made it sound like.
