King Kong finally opens at Bobbejaanland

Screamscape have just posted two videos of the new Huss King Kong ride from Bobbejaanland. One off-ride and one pov.

It looks pretty good from the off-ride video.

That looks cool and random at the same time. It doesn't do much does it? I think the smoke makes it look a little silly.
 
Doesn't look very thrilling, but boy does it look cool, a tad random but makes up for it with looks :)

It would be good at a Universal park though, King Kong was Universal right?
 
They should crank it up to eleven, then it might be something that could attract riders older then 3 year old...
 
I was waiting for it to flip or do something, but no it done nothing other than blow smoke in lol.

This is the biggest waste of animatronic technology ever.

Its not even interesting enough to class as a good family ride. :shock:
 
When I first looked at the plans some years ago on the Huss website I thought it looked really cool. The animation also showed shaking and quicker movements. Now its been built, it looks like a crock of ****.
 
They're, erm... not going to sell many more of those now are they? :lol:
 
Who would have thought a Gorilla of that size would pick you up and put you down again so gently :lol:
 
I just thought this ride was a shame when Bobbejaanland announced it! But this is just soooooo Bobbejaanland.

It's always like that. They announce a new ride and promote it everywhere as the ride of the year. Saying they have the best thing in Europe. Just like Bobbejaanland always print on their folders that they are voted as the number 1 themepark in Europe.

And when the ride opens, it seems it is just crap and Bobbejaanland keeps saying how great their ride is.

At the openingday saturday, a TV-team has interviewed Rudi Rasschaert, General Manager from Bobbejaanland and asked them his opinion about the ride. When the camera's were off, one of the crewmembers of the TV-team said "People really are not that enthousiast about the ride", his answer "Oh, let them stop complain and let them ride Sledge Hammer"!

Oh well, Bobbejaanland, too bad it's all lost glory!!!
