Highlights of your 2015 Season

CF Legend
I'm terrible at these because I forget everything, but here we go:

Park related:
*Best new cred - Dodonpa, by an absolute mile. I didn't ride that much amazing new stuff this year, thinking about it. Honourable mention to CuChu, only let down by it hilariously shunting and shuddering through the overbank.
*Worst new cred - Aside from the obvious crap, my worst new cred was probably something like Acrobat? I **** HATE flyers, and this was just a flyer than ripped off another flyer and just..yh, ****. Oh, and Scenic at Dreamland was abysmal too.
*Most surprising new cred - Surf Coaster Leviathan at Sea Paradise. It's **** MASSIVE, and has, what? Airtime? And then speed, and forces, and yh <3 It's fab.
*Biggest spite - A whole park in Japan because weekdays are a thing, bloody Triops at Fagatelle, other than that, did pretty well tbh.
*Park of the season - Has to be Tokyo DisneySea. It's actually unbelievable. I want to live there.
*Coolest park-related experience - A few things. Firstly queueing for Steel Dragon 2000 as the end of our Japan trip coaster and having the world's most epic fireworks display happening right next to us, you can't write that kind of ending! Also, Ian tweeting Europa and them coming out to meet us and walking onto blue fire, Wodan and the VR Alpenexpressen. Who you know I guess!
*Best experience on a coaster - Riding Dodonpa with everyone and us all just whooping and cheering with how **** amazing it was.
*Worst experience on a coaster - Eejanaika. Like, it's really not bad, but I punched myself in the face, lost and earring and ended up with my feet/legs in Conor's lap. It's a ****.
*Best day at a park - Alton Scarefest was just a fabulous fabulous day, really enjoyed the final day in Japan whoring all the parks but obviously my fav day at a park was Tokyo Disney, that ended with me getting engaged. It was magical.
*Worst day at a park - Nagashima Spiteland. We did 3 creds and sat on a bench watching it rain.
*Best trip as a whole - Obviously it was Japan, absolutely incredible. Germany in Autumn lite was also really really good.

General:
*Scariest moment - Going up the lifthill of Steel Dragon was a bit of a fanny melter if I'm honest...
*Best people you met - Don't actually think I've met any new blood this year? Thom? Feels like I've known him forever though!
*Best moment on CF - THAT Taron topic. Still laughing.
*Best non-park experience - Richard answering the phone in the Chinese at a get together near my flat, still laughing. Richard getting upset at Ian's farting at the Giant's Causeway.
*Coolest travel moment - The drive to Parque Espana was really beautiful, also the drive through Bavaria was gorgeous.
*Biggest travel nightmare - Trying to get to sodding Munich via a diversion only to come back on ourselves THREE times. Burden.
*The "Look Back on this and Laugh" award; aka a the funniest bit of bants/shade thrown. - The Blue Fire queue incident and associated topic <3 I've copied and pasted this from Ben's but, LOL! Still funny.
*Funniest moment - LOADS - aforementioned dinner table farting, puns in the queue at GF, Jordan being an uncultured twat and ordering 'mit pickles and onions', 'Autumn-lite', THE GAME on the last day in Japan.
*Single favorite memory - Walking through the main entrance into DisneySea.

Milestones:
700th cred <3

Park related:
*Best new cred: All the RMCs were great, but Goliath, Iron Rattler and Wicked Cyclone were all incredible.
*Worst new cred: Done far too many **** creds this year. But I've giving it to Night hawk at Carowinds.
*Most surprising new cred: The Boss. For not being ****. Unless you were Ben sat in the row behind.
*Biggest spite: Biggest one would have been Volcano at Kings Dominion. I'd say Cannibal, but it hadn't even opened when I went to Lagoon.
*Park of the season: In terms of experience, Silver Dollar City. But on a personal level, Alabama Adventure was amazing.
*Coolest park-related experience: Tie between the excluse stuff at Europa Park (Thanks Ian!), and meeting Dan & Pat Koch.
*Best experience on a coaster: Front row on SFGAM's Goliath at night.
*Worst experience on a coaster: Getting major cred anxiety on Goliath at SFGAm after it broke down. And Boomerangs and SLCs.
*Best day at a park: Alabama Adventure
*Worst day at a park: La Ronde by a **** mile.
*Best trip as a whole: America/Canada with Darren, Ben and Taylor.

General:
*Scariest moment: Me cutting up HGVs in America. I even scared myself.
*Best people you met: Almost everyone.
*Best moment on CF: The Taron topic.
*Best non-park experience: The City Musuem. And the rest of the US when I wasn't at a theme park. Apart form the hotel in San Antonio.
*Coolest travel moment: Driving from Denver to Salt Lake City. And the drives in Germany.
*Biggest travel nightmare: The tropical storm day in Texas. The drive to Oktoberfest and the Cabin In The Woods/Blair Witch moment after looping around 3 times. And avoiding tornadoes by a few miles in Kansas. The Chinese on the road to Neuschwanstein Castle. Honorable mention to the Fun Bus at SFNE.
*The "Look Back on this and Laugh" award; aka a the funniest bit of bants/shade thrown: S&A.
*Funniest moment: Darren's opening day fart in the car.
*Single favorite memory: The Indianapolis 500. All of it.

Milestones:
Finally getting to Europa Park.
900th cred (at Foire Du Trone)
1000th cred (Outlaw Run!)
1100th (A **** boomerang)
And 1200th at Europa after I spitefully added all my powered creds to my list.

Park related:
*Best new cred- SKYRUSH <3 <3 <3 This coaster has it all. It's so graceful, the design is brilliant, and it's balls-to-the-wall intense! I've never felt this scared for my life on a coaster. The first time I took that first transition I couldn't believe a coaster had actually done that. Marvelous ride.
*Worst new cred- T3; I was hoping this would be another Carolina Cobra in that it took a model that was known for being crap and made it bearable, but it was far from. The new restraints are nice, but the rattle is still there. I feel bad saying this because I got the vibe Ed Hart really wanted it to be enjoyable, but it's **** ing **** .
*Most surprising new cred- Have to give this one to Thunderbird. I was expecting a short, okay ride that would be the weakest of the wing coasters with the only significance being its prototype status and where it ended up. However, it ended up as my new favorite wing coaster. Good force throughout, lovely theming and location, and that finale with the barn and inline is amazing. I should've known better than to doubt anything the Koch family did! Honorable mentions to Hydra: The Revenge, Thunder Run, and Jack Rabbit.
*Biggest spite- Leap The Dips, I woke up that morning ready to leave the Elysburg area and checked the website to see how much time I had for breakfast when, "Sorry folks! The park's closed, the moose on the website should've told you!" I was bummed I wouldn't get to ride the oldest operating coaster in the world, but I was able to enjoy a nice, lengthy breakfast and get home at a reasonable time without being stressed.
*Park of the season- This one would have to be Carowinds. While the Hershey event was a close second as was HoliWood Nights, my trip to Carowinds meant so much more. I got to see the crappy **** place my basic parents would swing by because it was on the way to Charleston (which they visit almost every **** year anymore) go from just adequate to something on the right track to becoming truly special. Honorable mentions to Holiday World and Hersheypark.
*Coolest park-related experience- Easily the maintenance tour of Hersheypark. They showed us the room where they keep the replacement parts (each of the Intamins had an entire shelf to themselves LOL), the machining equipment they use to make replacement parts for rides from defunct manufacturers, cars from rides they were fixing, frames they used to remove trains from tracks, engineering drawings, it was like a goon's paradise.
*Best experience on a coaster- Skyrush ERT at night. The park had cleared out and we got to enjoy my new number one excessively on a beautiful summer night. We managed 17 rides on it, and during those the clock struck midnight on us as it became National Roller Coaster Day. I also heard a Walk The Moon (Cincinnati band that's big right now and very overplayed in southern Ohio) song while on the brakes and realized I had completely let the concept of home slip my mind that day I was having so much fun. It threw me around so much that I ended up having to toss the signature button-up I was wearing in the bin with my bag in fear of losing it. Honorable mentions to riding Voyage at night until my back was killing me at work and Beast at night during KI's Last Rides event with one of the trims removed.
*Worst experience on a coaster- Getting a bug in my mouth on Fury 325 and trying not to gag on it as the coaster threw me around mercilessly.
*Best day at a park- Hershey! Between getting to meet some awesome people, getting a new creds, getting to see the maintenance shop, an awesome meal, ending the day with ERT on my number one, and making a new friend out of a spat of drama, this day had it all!
*Worst day at a park- Good god, CoasterMania at Cedar Point takes this hands down! I'd wanted to do this event since high school, I finally get to go, and they pick that year to drop the ball. They had less than every window open to register 2,000 goons, there were bugs all over the park, I had nobody to hang out with, Craptor decided to throw a fit until 10 minutes before ERT ended, and towards the end of the night, the wind picked up which completely called off flat ride ERT and made Dragster's move to Millennium which got a massive line that didn't even stay open the entire **** time. I'm not ripping CP for this because it was free with my ACE membership, but it went horribly compared to other years from what I heard.
*Best trip as a whole- Easily Pennsylvania. So much quality packed into that tiny triangle! Half of the Kennywood creds surprised the heck out of me, Hershey was amazing as stated earlier, Dorney was rather interesting, and Knoebels was everything it was hyped up to be. Parts of the state are beautiful too.

General:
*Scariest moment- Waiting outside of Cedar Point for my friend Jenny to show up. I don't do well meeting other enthusiasts to begin with, but this left me insanely freaked out and nervous. This is the only time in my life I legitimately didn't want to be at Cedar Point. This ended up carrying into the time we had that day, I was so nervous I ended up acting like a total **** all morning and ended up snapping at her three times over silly things before I realized I was being a jerk and apologized. Honorable mention to finding my piece of **** ex working at Kings Island.
*Best people you met- Obviously Brad and Jenny, getting to meet Ben and Tom was great as well as bonus points seeing Darren and Tay that same day, all of the Koch family/park management I met at Holiwood Nights were fab, Mike Fehnel (Carowinds GM) was surprisingly cool, Laura Woodburn (director of operations or something at Hersheypark, she's FAB!!!), William from Coaster Crew was great for showing me around Hersheypark and helping me get all the creds, getting to meet Karla at Dorney and the two of us getting creds was fun, Brian and Stacey from Knoebels management were really cool for giving me some extra Phoenix rides so I could try their favorite seats and finding out they also knew ECG was awesome, plenty of great people this season! Honorable mention to a certain ride op at Beech Bend. ;)
*Best moment on CF- Probably going to Waffle House after KI with Tom, Ben, Taylor, and Darren and later finding out that they were silently judging me for my ridiculous consumption of Pibb. Honorable mention to Moistgate and beer pong with Snoo, Youngster Joey, and Kevin.
*Best non-park experience- I'm going to pull the basic card here and say it was staying at my grandparents' the night after I got back from Pennsylvania. They made spaghetti complete with sauce made from stuff in their garden and had ice-cold Stella Artois in the fridge, the perfect way to end an amazing trip.
*Coolest travel moment- Driving along the Pennsylvania Turnpike as the sun set behind me, turning the sky over the mountains pretty colors. This state is beautiful at sunset if you're in the right part, and constantly hearing Fleetwood Mac on the radio made the experience special. Pennsylvania seemed very proud to have this and I would be too if we had something that awesome. Such a relaxing drive! Honorable mention to our gas stop leaving Beech Bend on our way to Holiday World when I walked in completely clad in gooniform complete with my Thunderbird shirt just ready to **** go when a radio ad for Thunderbird came on inside.
*Biggest travel nightmare- Probably the time Connor decided that it was okay to turn a 10 minute "run in, creds, run out" at Camden Park into two **** hours at that absolute dump, hitting another delay trying to make up time coming home, me struggling to get around all the construction in Cincinasty leaving his house, and ultimately getting to bed at 1 am long after my parents had retired. And to make it worse my dad left for a business trip early the next morning so I didn't get to see him again until he got back.
*The "Look Back on this and Laugh" award; aka a the funniest bit of bants/shade thrown- Probably the time Connor jokingly accused me of having hit on a certain Kentucky Rumbler ride op while we were marathoning it. Funny thing? I was hitting on her in reality! Honorable mention to the little back-and-forth between Youngster Joey and I playing beer pong and me complimenting a girl on her Smiler shirt at CoasterMania.
*Funniest moment- Fury with this really ghetto girl with fake nails that was so scared she clawed at my arm on the drop, and when we hit the brake run the guy on her other side held up his arm, revealing that her fake nails had drawn blood. Honorable mention to hearing a ride op leading an entire Voyage train in the Spongebob Squarepants theme song and to these Banshee line jumpers I called out at Coasterstock who asked me if I worked there, to which Connor added, "no, but I do." They didn't get past us. :p
*Single favorite memory- Skyrush ERT followed by getting back to the hotel and discussing drama with someone else involved that ended with us becoming really good friends.

Milestones:
*Park related- Finally getting Great Pumpkin Coaster at Coasterstock, hitting 150 and upsetting a lot of people for counting it
*General- Finally passing Calc II

- Riding first coaster with niece and nephew (they have wanted to ride with me ever since they could remember)
- My first coaster in 3 years

Next year will be more eventful, but nothing could beat that second one.

I want it to be on the record that I'm still hugely jealous that Darren, ben, Tay and Tom met Pat Koch. Ok, I do have my fab AA license plate sign by Pat (thanks, guys), but you guys to touch her. I still cry myself to sleep about it every night.

She actually frequents Holiday World quite often. I think I've spoken to her a number of times on my visits to the park. In short, go visit HW more often. ;)

I must’ve had the most uneventful year of anyone on this forum. I became reinterested in coasters fairly late in the season so didn’t have any park trips planned – and didn’t have the time or money anyway. I was planning to do some parks in Germany, but although I still did the trip, the theme park side of it has been postponed to next year. Was also hoping to get to Ghosterforce for at least the afternoon but delayed plane times and traffic made it pointless as I would get there too late. Next season I’ll actually plan some trips, plus I’ll be driving which’ll make it easier.
Here’s my very dull highlights of an uneventful season…

*Best new cred: I got a grand total of 3 new creds, and two were at Devon’s Crealy for ****’s sake. None of them were that good, for me to decide which one was best is like Nigel Farage deciding on which is his favourite eastern European country.
*Worst new cred: Same as above.
*Most surprising new cred: Twister at Devon’s Crealy. The coaster itself wasn’t surprising, but when I was on it my phone played ringtone that I hadn’t heard before. I usually have it on silent so the ringtone was a surprise to me.
*Biggest spite: The three new creds being open and running well, meaning I had no excuse not to ride them. Goddammit.
*Park of the season: Devon’s Crealy, their slogan being “You can’t polish a turd, so we’re not even gonna try!”
*Coolest park-related experience: Leaving Devon’s Crealy.
*Best experience on a coaster: On the lift hill of Twister at Devon’s Crealy I saw a goat which was lying down all cosy and it looked quite cute.
*Worst experience on a coaster: When returning to the station on Twister at Devon’s Crealy I realised that the goat was actually dead.
*Best day at a park: Devon’s Crealy.
*Worst day at a park: Devon’s Crealy.
*Best trip as a whole: As part of a Germany/Belgium trip I went past the entrance of Plopsaland, which basically makes it a park trip. That was fun.

General:
*Scariest moment: I was sat in an office chair and the back reclined suddenly. It was really unexpected but once in the reclined position it was quite comfortable.
*Best people you met: I think I met Jesus on a beach, but it may have been just a man with a beard.
*Best moment on CF: Re-joining after 3ish years to see a still very fun and active forum.
*Best non-park experience: Ginster’s did a limited edition Pulled Pork pasty which was quite nice.
*Coolest travel moment: Visiting Prague with some great friends.
*Biggest travel nightmare: In Belgium I dropped my ice cream. I hadn’t eaten much of it so it was quite annoying.
*The "Look Back on this and Laugh" award; aka the funniest bit of bants/shade thrown: Dunno.
*Funniest moment: Not sure, can’t really remember as I was probably laughing/drunk at the time.
*Single favorite memory: See *Best non-park experience.

Milestones:
*Park related: Hopefully my last visit to Devon’s Crealy.
*General: I watched Breaking Bad.

Photo look back - This pretty much summarises my season:

Getting those creds was probably more depressing than not getting any at all. I feel for you man!
I had a similarly sucky year to be honest. 2 Parks and 8 new creds. Pity one of them was Chessington on the busiest day of the year...

*Best new cred/most surprsing
Velocity at Mingoland. A lovely surprise - I think the seating position really added to the ride experience, coupled with some unexpectedly delicious airtime.

*Worst new cred
Technically it's probably one of FL's smaller creds, but since I was actually looking forward to Mumbo Jumbo, that has to take the prize for me. Longest queue of the day, trimmed first drop, rattle, uncomfortable and generally pretty dull unfortunately.

*Biggest spite
I've already ridden Rattlesnake, but for it to be closed for basically no reason at all on the busiest day of the year was inexcusable.
I even made sure we took a connecting flight to Singapore for December to go credding, ride and film BSG, but it turns out we won't even have time to visit the park at all. I could probably have got a tonne of views, but hey, I don't think I'm missing too much.

*Park of the season
Flamingoland.

*Best experience on a coaster
Not on the coaster, but seeing a the hilarious build up, and a fight in Dragon's Fury's queueline was quite entertaining I suppose.

*Worst experience on a coaster
Probably Mumbo Jumbo again.

*Best day at a park
Well, I actually really enjoyed a queueless Flamingo Land!

*Worst day at a park
Chessington was fine but, actually, no it wasn't. Getting on five rides in a day was **** ridiculous. My family almost gave up on theme parks after that day. Got views though :)

My season started quite late and was similar to Mouse's and CoasterCrazy's (just less tragic). The main thing I can take from the year was rediscovering my passion for various things I used to love. I haven't done too much so I can't fill out this questionnaire, but I'd say the main highlight was actually visiting a place I'd read about and seen pictures of, but never imagining I'd ever go there. I really enjoyed it and certainly want to do something similar again and have realised there's not really much stopping me from going to other parks around the world.

Well, I had a rather uneventful season. I went Alton on a school trip, Southport and then DMP last month.

Best new experience: Riding a Fabbri Booster for the first time. There was one at Southport over Easter and it was on of the most terrifying ride experiences I've had in a while. Especially waiting at the top for a few minutes waiting for other people to get on. And I was surprised that I found the ride to be more of a swinging experience, rather than a spinny one.

Worst new experience: Air Race at Drayton. Didn't enjoy it at all, but to be fair, I'd eaten and I was hot, so it was a very nauseating experience.

Apart from that, I decided that Shockwave is stupidly rough, G-Force is far more unpleasant than I'd remembered, sit-down Apocalypse is better than stand-up and the Flume at Alton is rather poor.

Park related:

*Best new cred- Wicked Cyclone
*Worst new cred- La Vibora?
*Most surprising new cred
*Biggest spite- Over Texas
*Park of the season- Alabama Splash, Holiday World, Six Flags New England, Hershey
*Coolest park-related experience- Definitely Pat and Dan Koch at Alabama Splash
*Worst experience on a coaster- Not a coaster, but the water slide at Kentucky Kingdom
*Best day at a park- Tough one but a lot of the parks I got to kind of just chill at and not rush around getting creds were the best
*Worst day at a park- Over Texas and our first day at Six Flags Over Georgia almost getting killed by a bunch of ghetto people
*Best trip as a whole- For a park trip it was definitely the three week long one
In general I had a pretty good season. I didn't do too much outside of my three week coaster trip with Darren, Ben, and Tom and my first amusement park visit with my boyfriend. But, even so, I got a decent amount of creds and had a lot of fun.

General:
*Scariest moment- Tom almost killing me in a motor vehicle accident
*Best people you met- Pat and Dan Koch <3
*Best moment on CF- Nothing on CF really
*Biggest travel nightmare- Tropical Storm Bill
*The "Look Back on this and Laugh" award- All the times I almost died, my mom crying on an alpine coaster, Ben pouting at Cedar Point when Dragster was spiting
*Funniest moment- A lot, but Tom in the pool was hilarious, and Ben dropping his drink like a twat in line for the fun bus at Silver Dollar City is up there. Oh speaking of fun bus, having to get the fun bus to take us back around because we're twats and missed our stop. Getting my mom on an alpine coaster was **** hilarious as well. Oh yeah, and cred emergency at Cedar Point when all the spiteful creds suddenly decided to open up when we were leaving the parking lot.
*Single favorite memory- Can't pick one

Milestones:
*Park related- Got my 400th which was La Vibora at Over Texas

I had a good season. Between my trip with Tom, Ben, and Darren, getting to go to Cedar Point with my boyfriend and learning that he's just too old for coasters, and going to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg with my parents and sister, I'd say it was a good one! I got on a lot of RMCs, met some of the most fab people (aka Pat and Dan), spent a lot of time with good friends, and got pretty much half of a new top ten.

OMG AND HOW DID I FORGET THE CITY MUSEUM?! Such a fun place and we had such a blast. Tom dropping his phone like ten feet onto concrete, and it surviving.. What a mong.

"There's no bouncing back." In fact I still probably haven't bounced back.

In short, go visit HW more often. ;)

She's not involved with Holiday World anymore since her Daughter-in-law has taken control of the park. She works full time helping Dan at Alabama Adventure. Shame.

Like some others on here I've had a relatively boring year ride-wise. Only did 3 parks but I'll give this a go anyway. Hoping to do Dreamland and Winter Wonderland before the year is out.

Park related:
*Best new cred- Stealth. Shamefully hadn't done this until this year. One of only like 4 new creds so had to be this one.
*Worst new cred- Marble Madness at Pleasurewood Hills. Just your average Wild Mouse thing.
*Most surprising new cred- Probably Stealth again because the it's pretty surprising being launched that fast. haha.
*Biggest spite- None I can think of really.
*Park of the season- Erm, Chessington? Or maybe Thorpe, both about equal.
*Coolest park-related experience- Samurai for the first time or the afterburner at PWH (which apparently some say is one of the worse ones but I didn't get on Vortex this year and I like them, so there! :p)
*Best experience on a coaster- Swarm?? Not sure.
*Worst experience on a coaster- Marble Madness, X or maybe Enigma? None of them were that horrific.
*Best day at a park- All about equal.

General:
*Scariest moment- Stealth probably.
*Best moment on CF- Lots of amusing threads but can't remember anything specific.

Milestones:
*Park related- None really, suppose I did my fastest launch so far this year.

I should have done this last year as it would have been more interesting. Oh well. Hopefully I can add a few more rides before the year is out.

*Best new cred: Olympia Looping
*Worst new cred: Cobra at Tivoli Friheden
*Most surprising new cred: Tornado at Bakken
*Biggest spite: Topple tower at Djurs not being open
*Park of the season: Phantasialand
*Coolest park-related experience: the Efteling Fanday with the most memorable moment being riding non-stop Joris en der Draak for 45 minutes without getting of against 95 other enthusiasts. It was so exciting!
*Best experience on a coaster: the insane unexpected lift-launch on Tornado
*Worst experience on a coaster: ear bashing on Cobra
*Best day at a park: Parque Warner with friends
*Worst day at a park: Movie Park. It was just so boring we had to get out way before the park closing time.
*Best trip as a whole: Germany

General:
*Scariest moment: The Walking Dead Experience at Parque de Atracciones de Madrid
*Best non-park experience: going out clubbing in Madrid with local friends
*Coolest travel moment: geocaching around the Netherlands after a day at Efteling
*Biggest travel nightmare: running from Copenhaguen to a park, then taking a boat the other side of Denmark, hitting another park and then driving up to my next hotel.

Milestones:
*Park related: attending my first German fair and hitting both Olympia Looping and Alpina Bahn.
*General: travelling solo for the first time in my life.
