Hammering up to 150! (Featuring Florida 14)

I was approaching 150 creds so here is the story of getting there. Or not getting there as at the time of writing I'm on 143.

Florida 14:

At 4:30 Jordan arrived in the taxi to the airport. We got to the Gatwick, checked in and went to find breakfast.
I was annoyed by this:

The flight was long and boring but we played with the new entertainment system to pass the time:

Jordan did this so I couldn't cheat, not that I would.

Then some crisps arrived!

We then landed and collected our bags. Taking bags of the carousel is something that I love!

Virgin. Yes but I never tried it. There was also a chat thing so you could speak to randoms, I didn't try that either.

Day 1 Sea World.

First off we went straight to Empire of the Penguin. The new area looks brilliant and has certainly improved the park.

You can choose whether to ride the wild or more tame side. We did the wild side and all really enjoyed it. I won't give away any spoilers but it is a great ride!

Next up we did Journey to Atlantis. I still love this coaster!

Then we rode my second favourite coaster!

It was still just as good if better than I remembered it!

We then got lunch:

and saw the Shamu Show, these are for Darren:

Then it was time to ride Shamu Express for the first time since 2007.

I found it quite rough.

Then I discovered these tasty chaps:

It was then time to see Clyde and Seymour:

I prefer the sea lion shows to the Shamu shows. I love sea lions!

Then we did Manta.

We then did the Observation Tower and were left disappointed. A netting saying 50 years of Sea World has been added, causing this to happen:

and I saw a cousin of my fish, Lucifer.

It was then time for the dreaded Wild Arctic. I had nothing but bad memories of out dated, rough and uncomfortable sim. But we got front row, which wasn't too bad.

Then it was time to leave and a tumble weed arrived:

We went to Downtown Disney to collect and set up our magic bands. I will discuss how well they work later in the report.

Day 2 Busch Gardens

Was annoying to just miss Falcon's Fury!!!!

But we parked up and I got very excited!!!

But first things first we had to go on Gwazi. We went front row. Gwazi as you may know is a bit ****. It is rough and that's about it.
Then it was time to do Air Grover, which is decent for what it is. After Air Grover we went the wrong and ended up having fun in:

There were tunnels to run through and stuff!!

We then went and did Rhino Rally, which is great and then went on to check out Pantopia. The new re theme is certainly an improvement and Falcon's Fury looks insane. It just dominates everything!!

After that it was time to watch the show in the Pantopia Grill and eat. We got dine all day, which is worth it for $30. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the park so saved a lot of money. We also got regular drinks during the day. I highly recommend getting dine all day. There are some limitations, such as it can be difficult to get a drink but you can get water from any stall for free and can use the Pantopia Grill for drinks.

There was then a great faff for Jordan's 100th which was eventually Sheikra at the front. Still a great coaster.
We then saw the Jungle Carnival for the second time of the day and the holo hoop show.

Then it was time!!

Front row on my favourite coaster! Montu is just incredible!!!

Then we had tea at the pizza and pasta buffet, which I don't think much of.

I wanted to see the white tiger and luckily he was on view!

After tea, Jordan and I went off, because Sarah wanted to see some you tube singers or something at the night show. Therefore Jordan and I went to ride Kumba, back row. I love Kumba but it made my back hurt siting at the back as it was rougher than I remembered.

We then went on Sand Serpent and headed for Cheetah Hunt. After waiting two hours it had broken down, I was told by a ride op that it was a block problem. They had no exit passed so we headed to Montu and then met back up with the others.

Overall it wasn't the best day I've had at my favourite back as a group of three hundred Brazilian kids went round as a tour making the queues longer and being in the way.

Yeah that sealion show is really good but it's now finished! They're replacing the entire stage and that. The new artic area looks great but the ride looks pants, did you think it was 'wild'?

Wild as a lion no but maybe as wild as a adventurous domestic cat. My mum liked it which is a good indication that is isn't too bad. There are moments when you move up and down enough for a pop of air time and moments when you move quickly. So it is wild but no too wild.

That area does look great now so much better than before.

We were the same with Busch last time. There was something missing and kumba was now rough and really loud for some reason.

It's still a good park but just a bit bland.

Day 3 Air Boat Ride:

In the morning we went to the Golden Corral for breakfast, it was nom.

Then it was time to get to Boggy Creek!

Gators!

I love airboat rides they are very fun! Especially front row!

There was also an alligator to look at!

In a huge tree there was an eagle!

This is an alligator nest:

Then we all got a bit tyred in Walmart :wink:

Is this a problem in America?

We then had to get some [strike]petrol[/strike] gas. I love [strike]petrol[/strike] gas stations in America because of these:

Then it was iHop for tea!

Day 4

We started by going to see

in its new home.

Space shuttles are just incredible machines!!

Then I pushed some buttons and pulled on a stick:

There was an awesome walk through where you walk at the angles that a space shuttle lands at, ending with this beast!

It was awesome!

Then I sat on a space toilet:

It was wheelie good in the new museum area:

Then it was lunch:

Bus tour time!

After that we walked round the Saturn Five building and had a [strike]Mars Bar[/strike] Milky Way bar. Then got back on the bus and walked to the memorial garden. After this we discovered a new area:

Inside we found a live action Angry Birds game!

Was a lot of fun!!

There was also a mirror maze. It was a bit ****.

Then we went home.

Day Five started by visiting a closed Golden Corral so instead going to Sizzler's for breakfast. It was nom

First up was Island in The Sky

It was ok nothing special to note.

In places the day was the same as yesterday:

I had previously ridden it when it was at Legoland Windsor and do not count relocations. I remember the plastic covers of no.

It was better than I remembered it!

Next up we did:

I really like these!

They are quite fab.

Boo! Luton! Scum!

Flying School was down

But a Lego bass was nearby!

We walked round and rode

Certainly the best coaster in the park and a decent woodie, although there wasn't much airtime.

Next up we rode a jeep thing:

It was pretty decent although my gun was clearly broken, as my score was a bit ****.

Then it was ice cream time, nom!

After a cold treat, we headed into:

and rode the Splash Battle. We got drenched, as seen in my video that will be posted below.

We then rode the Dragon. It was decent at the front and vile at the back.

The Dragon has foot restraints for some reason, they were uncomfortable.

We then had another ride on the woodie and headed for Flight School.

It was a bit ****.

We looked around the models:

Day 4

Then I sat on a space toilet:

Day 6 The Magic Kingdom.

The monorail was down so to get to the park we had to take the:

We arrived in time to see the opening ceremony:

We headed straight for Space Mountain, my favourite Disney ride!

I absolutely love Space Mountain! I always have and I guess always will!

We then did Buzz Lightyear, where I scored:

Not bad. I had negative memories of Buzz Lightyear but it was surprising how much I enjoyed it on this visit!!

We then did Stitch's Great Escape, which was just as I remembered it. Afterwards we did Laugh Floor, which was good.
We then moved onto:

On Jungle Cruise we got a good host so the it was good. Afterwards we saw the Captain Jack show and then moved on to our Splash Mountain Fastpass.
It was excellent as remembered.

It was then time for Big Thunder Mountain. It was a surprise of the holiday, as I didn't remember it being that good. This time I really enjoyed it!
It was then time for lunch:

We then rode It's a Small World, which is very annoying:

Afterwards we went to see Mickey's Philomagic, which is still very good.
After that we went on Haunted Mansion, which I really enjoy!

We then did Dream along with Mickey, but I can't really remember anything about it.
Then we did the Carrousel of Progress, a family favourite.

We saw the Main Street marching band next in-between shopping before it was time for tea.

We then had a Fast Pass + booked for Seven Dwarfs Mine train.

I was left very disappointed. It is an okay family coaster and thats all. The seats are uncomfortable and the ride is short. The part with the Dwarfs is especially short.
We then did Under the Sea, which was decent. Then we took the monorail back to the car park and went home.

Day 7:

We got to the park for opening time and headed straight for the new Test Track! Test Track was one of my favourite rides, so I was looking forward to experiencing the upgrade.

Firstly you enter a room with screens and design a car, which is pretty cool:

Then you ride the same ride as before but upgraded:

The ride left me utterly shocked. One of my favourite rides has been ruined. All the things that made Test Track brilliant are gone. No cheesy puns

Some parts of the ride also do not make as much sense as they did. For example the demonstration of ABS part now makes little sense. Overall I was left saddened by what has been done to Test Track.

Next up we did Mission Space. I like Mission Space and had an good ride.

We then visited a new coke attractions, where you can get free Coca Cola products from all over the world:

Melon Frosty from Thailand was my personal favourite.

Now here is a ride that needs a refurbishment. The ride is still excellent but the screen has aged and needs replacing as marks are clearly visible throughout.

Then it was lunch

We then did:

Maelstrom is my favourite dark boat ride thing. It is a real shame Frozen is rumoured to ruin it soon.

We then reached China, where I started to mess around with plastic animals so Jordan joined in. Here is our master piece:

Then we stopped in Germany so I got a cake:

We had tea in an expensive place in Italy, it wasn't very nice:

Then we had a ride on Spaceship Earth and left the park.

Day 8 and another trip to my favourite park!

We headed straight to Cheetah Hunt and got a back row ride.

I had fond memories of Cheetah Hunt and it was high in my top ten. However the ride this year was rather poor, so it will fall down soon.

Next up we did the safari things, I'd done it before, it was ok.
Have some animals:

Then I got a bit bored of photographing animals...

It was time for lunch, so we made use of the great dine all day package!

Then we did

I still really like this coaster!

Next we did Congo River Rapids, which I had never done before!

I got absolutely soaked but loved it! It is a great rapids ride.

Next we did Kumba and rode in row two I think. Kumba is a lot less rough towards the front and is an excellent ride! ]

Then the rain came I think, so most things closed. We went to see the ice show. It was rather poor. The girl actress in it was incredibly annoying.

The storm passed so it was Montu time!
Five rides, three back row. My favourite coaster by a long way.

Just don't shake the gates.

Montu in the dark is too awesome!

^Agreed. That safari was actually brilliant for getting great photos of Montu (and Cheetah Hunt if I remember rightly) but at that moment I was more interested in the animals #S**tGoon
