Hefty gallery of Palindrome production over at Gerstlauer's factory, the lift hill is already on its way to the park and the rest of the coaster will soon follow suit. Meanwhile, parts for the SBF Visa log flume have also arrived onsite (no photos provided);

And Palindrome has at long last arrived at the park! Construction should hopefully begin shortly, last I heard groundwork hadn’t even begun. A model of the SBF Log Flume was also shown off as well;

It seems fairly unlikely that they'll have this up and ready for the F1 race in two months which is a shame. Glad it's finally on site though.

Looks like Palindrome is being pushed back to next year, which is good news because it can open along with Circuit Breaker in the same season if there's no issues!

We have new concept artwork and a location for Circuit Breaker. It'll be located near the Grandstand and Finish Line, with the coaster sitting on land squeezed between Turn 20 and the existing parking lot.

In other news, the Texas Wildcat has been outfitted with new magnetic brakes and station tires post-Raptor Attack;

I like that they are trying to create an amusement park of sorts that can be operated throughout the year, but the ride placement doesn't make for a very cohesive "park." Circuit Breaker is going to be a decent distance from many of the other rides, and down a dirt path no less.

If my understanding is correct, the majority of rides will form a midway near the main entrance while Circuit Breaker gets its own plaza in a completely different and equally busy part of the facility.

Not only is it because there’s adequate land there, but it’s a matter of presentation. Circuit Breaker will be seen as their most prized and headlining attraction, to the point that it wouldn’t fit in with the main midway. Being surrounded by portable fairground rides would detract from its presentation. Same goes for the Grandstand and finish line, where much of the action happens. Being surrounded by an amusement park would detract from its presentation, but a coaster like Circuit Breaker is imposing, striking, and will look sharp for attendees and in the background of broadcasts.

From an aesthetic standpoint, it is certainly nice placement. And from a race fan standpoint, it'll be nice to have rides scattered throughout the property. However, that's only three weekends a year.

I do quite like that all the rides are fairly close to the racing surface and are easily accessible throughout the race weekend. However, it doesn't seem like it'd be a great experience for somebody coming to "Cotaland" on a non-race day. It's not like Suzuka Circuit where there is a clear and distinct park that is separate from the circuit itself. My hope is that they eventually add something in the space between Palindrome and Circuit Breaker to make it flow better and feel more complete... and give them a good excuse to pave the pathway from the main entrance down to turn 20. 😬
