CF Chat

On the bottom of the main forum screen, it lists the members on line and hays a CF chat option.

Of the 2 months I have been a member, not once have I ever seen anyone chat. Sometimes I leave a chat message such as "if anyone wants to chat feel free" but no one ever responds.

I think chat is a great idea becuase it is much easier than sending tons of private messages, but no one ever uses it.

Why does no one use it? It is a great idea, is there a way to make it more used?

We did use the CF chat quite often, but it longer has the functionality of other chat options, like MSN (which is what most CFers use now days).

I couldn't give a difinitive reason, but most members have each other on Facebook and/or MSN.

Haha I remember it was dead and then I decided to use it and in one evening had about 20 people online
It's because most people either use MSN, Skype and Facebook chat etc.

Well, it's Windows Live Messenger now. Instant messaging service...

Ok, well, I have not been on a Live so I don't know anyone in person yet.

And therefore I only know a few CFers real names and would have no way to friend on Facebook

I've never been on a live either. But over the 4 years I've been on here...you'll get to know people

The MSN button at the bottom of each person's post will also give you their MSN (or Windows) Messenger name, which allows you to better link up with CFers online!
