ATs Loss is FL's Gain - 4th June 2015

So we had free Sun tickets for 4th June and I'd booked a day off e.t.c

As we couldn't go to Alton Towers we had a 2-for-1 voucher for Flamingo Land... but not just any 2 for 1 voucher, this one came with FREE CAPRI SUNS!!!!

I went with my girlfriend who isn't a lover of rides but we got a decent count in.

Started on the Cycle Monorail which burned my thighs more than expected. Need to get fitter! Then onto Navigator, one of the few rides Lucy did brave.

She is a lover of selfies so bare with me...

Hero was actually closed while they were installing safety netting over the queue line after the recent falling part. Worries me more that they are installing safety netting to cover the eventuality of it happening again

We then went on the 4D cinema which was disgraceful. It's back to the Haunted Lighthouse (it's original film) however none of the effects worked. The seats moved and that was it. Awfully maintained which has become the norm for Flamingo Land.

We were also the only two in the showing haha

We then got on the Gallopers together before I had a solo ride on the Cliffhanger.

The Balloon Race was done to keep Lucy happy followed by a solo ride on Kumali. Then we visited the Bongo Warriors to keep me happy! :)

We then had a wander down the zoo end and ate at the Coach house pub which was surprising good value for money. £8.95 for Fish Chips and Mushy Peas and a pint was only £2.95!

We then visited the Splosh! area to do the rides around there and cool down (such a hot day!) before we went to watch the new cheesy farewell show behind the Cliffhanger. Which involved 'the finger song' and a version of Uptown Funk to Flamingo Lands own words with two meerkats dancing to them. And the Bongo Warriors again!

Overall a great day and definitely got monies worth however would still not risk a day at Flamingo Land on a weekend/school holiday. The staff are just ridiculously slow and have zero social skills (the bloke in the 4D cinema didn't say hi or anything despite it just being us two, and handed the glasses over, at the end told us to exit to the right then when we went right and back he said "NO, ITS THIS WAY, I MEAN YOU CAN GO SEE MY BOSS IF YOU LIKE BUT THATS THE WRONG WAY" - well when theres no signage and you're stood there like a **** mute what do you expect you smarmy little twat!).

Commendations go to staff operating Voodoo, Splash Battle, Flip Flop, Cliffhanger, Balloon Race and the girl doing the Bird Show who all displayed personalities and actually had social interaction with the guests.
