Having been to opening day... i think this thread needs bumping to the top. Shockingly bad. So many rides closed, breaking, being evac'd. Awful! Awful! Awful!

I dared to say this on another forum. There seems to be an almost over-excitment for this coaster. I hope it is great, but worry it is just sooo gimmicky with lots of switch tracks and clever bits that it never actually gets going. Little bit of speed, few twists and then it stops to change...

I'm genuinely surprised this hasn't been picked up by news outlets yet. Second only to Disney 😀

Paultons also recently submitted a similar planning application for solar carpark canopies. Really good that Parks are starting to.think that way!

It's a mini log flume... what are you expecting? I will happily however bet my house on it being better themed than Draytons one. Simply because it is Paultons and they do things well.

Still, it has taken 5 years to go from 'masterplan' consultation to 'smaller project' consultation. My expectations are even lower now.

This is exactly the same 'consultation' and artwork from circa 2017? Nothing came of it then, I doubt anything will come of it now. I hope something good happens, but I doubt it.

Also selling their high ropes course (although that is less of a worry). Unfortunately, I do not see this as any more than asset stripping and then focussing purely on the cheaper family market rides.

It amazes me that they would choose a Magma (Paultons) replica. It isn't thrilling, doesn't actually 'drop' and the throughput is dreadful. I know this is supposed to be a family ride but still a cheap choice.

Yes, heard both rumours. Assume the sale has put all plans on ice for now. Can't imagine either of them leaving if at all possible. The cost to remove would be huge and doubt there is much resale value. Fingers crossed fire is not too bad. Drayton Manor have had rotten luck this year.

It was brilliant!! The alien breathing in your ear when it was pitch black was so effective. I loved it, but certainly wasnt very 'disney'

I can't think of any benefit in understating how much has been spent on new attractions. As said previously, they do seem to get extraordinary value for money. I am sure the 12million spent will see a much better return on investment than 20million on one coaster.
