    Top 10(ish): 2024 Edition - page 124

1.Steel Vengeance- Nuff Said 2. Taron- Great coaster and theming 3. Hyperion- I kinda feel this thing is under-rated? That first airtime hill is insanity, as is the inversion. 4. Maverick- Amazing mix of forces and a great drop 5. Shambhala- B&M at its most floaty and airtime-y 6. Zadra- Speed...

Europa Park is the best theme park.

Wow. I hope your next visit is a lot better than that, jesus. To be fair i have never experienced their accommodation, I feel like the surrounding town of Rust is totally lovely to stay in. Most "hotels" are little cute guesthaus's that cost like 1/5 of EP's hotels. Yeah I guess it takes one...

Europa Park is the best theme park.

Europa Park is a park that I always have completely adored, this is pretty evident reading some of my posts. Before last week my last visit was 2019. This somewhat left a question in my mind that maybe this was just nostalgia? It is very easy to remember the best of a park instead of its gaping...

Most underrated roller coasters you’ve ever ridden

Just a few to mind (not ordered) 1. Corkscrew (CP) I like this thing! It is janky, but it has airtime! It’s really not amazing, but not awful. I smiled coming off it. 2. Gemini (CP). Very fun arrow. Just suffers from being at CP next to monsters like Steel Vengeance 3. Cancan Coaster (EP) I...

    Rank the Europa Park coasters

Just came back, thought I’d re-rank. I’ll review first. Cancan I always had liked Eurosat, even when it was a janky dark mess. In present day though, I really feel it’s one of the funnest things at the park. The ride isn’t overly forceful, but has a long layout and it has some good speed...

How do you tell a rides manufacturer?

For me its the reliability. If the ride is down 90% of the time you know Intamin made it. If it is more than 90% it is for sure an S&S and best of luck riding it 👍;)

    WTF Merlin?

I have said a LOT on RAP as an ex user and I still qualify! I am going to be harsh here and be savage, The reason this is not a problem in most EU/US parks is simply the culture in the UK. The kind of entitlement and the "I have XYZ wrong" with me so I deserve AB. It could be a minor problem...

    Best Park Throughputs & Availability

This is not a new opinion, but I can back up Europa. I have seen one breakdown in 7 days spend there in my life, and it was Poseidon, which was down for a whole 3 minutes. Rides at Europa are beyond reliable, i never seen anything like it. Cedar Point and Phantasialand both gave me a fair slice...

    WTF BPB?

Just a couple of things: Amanda I feel needs to really improve her PR skills. Even if she is frustrated by fans, they are ultimately the one lining her pockets. The passholders are the ones who come every weekend and spend £16 per head on a crappy pizza buffet. I think perhaps she should tweet...

Will Hyperia be better than Nemesis?

I think I will like Hyperia more. The shortness worries me, but I think its twisted drop is going to be wild, and the elements after look like they're going have to some weird airtime/laterals. I love Nemesis, but I do feel not insane hype about it to be honest. I actually prefer Smiler in the...

Who would go to Six Flags Quiddiya?

You're absolutely right in that it probably would not be as fixated on. But it is hard not to be paranoid when at any time if i let the mask slip, suddenly i go from tourist to criminal. I'd probably be fine! But its hard to relax with that kind of thing hanging above my head.

Who would go to Six Flags Quiddiya?

So this post is going to be a mess. But this is from a perspective as a fairly young 21 year old gay man. I personally do not have any problems with Muslim countries, countries like Turkiye are places i would visit in a heartbeat. Being gay there is a taboo, but by law it has been legal since...

    UK Scare Attractions Reports

Tulleys Shocktoberfest Review 23: I'm not even going to write an intro because i have been reviewing this attraction for a LONGG time. My first visit was in 2012 to put that into perspective. I have to say that things have certainly progressed since, what was a small niche industry has suddenly...

    Legend Land - Croatia

This is total BS. Split or Dubrovnik would be SO much better locations for a Croatian theme park, especially with the thousands of European tourists who cram into the small coastal cities. But yeah this is a scam, which is a shame because Croatia deserve a good theme park.

Six Flags Qiddiya| Saudi Arabia | Theme Park

I actually cannot believe it is being built. I know i am so cynical on this project, but i honestly really cannot comprehend how this is going to work. Falcon's Flight is such an over extension for a new park.

    Your favourite city

Honestly as a brit, even though i tend to completely complain about London all the time, it is one of the best cities in the world. It has such a rich history, a huge size, and has such variety. I love the iconic thames setting, the chaotic tube, and the passive agressive "excuse me!". Its known...

    UK Scare Attractions Reports

For those who do not want to read my long rambly trip report: Here's my verdict on Thorpe's stuff this year, mild spoilers. STITCHES: Stitches i went into with a fresh virgin mind, and i am glad i did. If i had to describe it, it is basically a scare maze that plays with the psychological...

Thorpe Park: Is it good again? (Fright Nights 23')

It is 2012, and Thorpe Park just built Swarm. They had received 3 coasters since 2006, and seemed to be endlessly expanding. The park were laying down coasters, flat rides, and Thorpe was "the park" in the UK. Then we saw a decade of nothing, literal nothing. Temporary half baked "attractions"...

    UK Scare Attractions Reports

I plan on HHN next year hopefully, but for this year i plan on Shocktoberfest (as an actor and a guest later in the run), and Fright Nights. I would like to experience the amazing looking stuff up north, but honestly i never get the time.

    Rides that don't feel safe

After Blackpool i would like to mention Steeplechase as probably the scariest for me. I really feel exposed sitting on the horse with only a basic seatbelt around me. The janky nature of the ride only makes things worse, as it jolts you around and breaks abruptly. Other shoutout is to Wild Mouse...
