Hopefully something with a bit more ride-time than Octonauts.
Alton actually fares quite well with the younger rider lineup, with the RMT, Octonauts, Spinball and arguably Thirteen.
Very interesting!
Also, today marks one year since the announcement I believe?
Not a lot of news, but I'm not expecting to hear much until Epic Universe is open now.
Realistically, I expect something like a GCI, but one of those new inverting ones. I could easily believe Paulton's getting something like Plopsa's Heidi with a barrel roll.
On the flat ride front, perhaps a Nebulez as they're popping up everwhere, though it would be weird to have two Viking...
I need to look into that, it's one of the things that's really bugging me. I must say though, the Friday hotfix did address a lot of the immediate concerns, and the December update should resolve a lot of the community's biggest complaints... and add seperate load/unload stations!!
Very similar to my thoughts. I'll try to avoid duplication.
Good:
- The Graphics are now fantastic. Genuinely very detailed, particularly the plants.
- It has Willow trees, something the first game missed. The foliage in general is incredible.

Coaster count at start of 2024: 207
Coaster count at end of 2024: 234
Coaster count increase: 27, slightly more than last year, more than I had realised.
New Parks visited in 2024: Liseberg and the Madrid Duo. For water, Rulantica.
Favourite new-to-me coaster of 2024: Voltron, followed very...
Honest review time:
So, we planned a pretty good trip, we flew out Wednesday evening to Baden-Baden, worked from our hotel in Ringsheim on Thursday (with a lunchtime visit to Ettenheim, which is gorgeous by the way) and visited Rulantica for the first time in the evening. Same again on Friday...
Whilst I wouldn't count it as a new cred, I'd count it as opening season as standup to sit down is significant enough to warrant a new experience for me.
Finally got to ride today, just one as the park was the busiest I've ever seen it (queue-times says 51% which is... wrong), single rider and got back row (left seat).
Loved it, every element hit perfectly, but definitely too short. Basically, what everyone says.
That outer bank was evil, I...
I've not had a chance to watch the video yet so apologies if it's covered, but I'm hoping the current flooding situation isn't putting Universal off. It's no worse than what Florida can do during extreme weather to be fair.
