Good to hear someone else singing the praises of Manta. Quality ride. Little shame about the theming (exterior could be better) but the ride is awesome, as is the park in general.
I managed Flying Aces and Mission Ferrari last year, so another combo of the "2 out of 3" big creds!
I was hoping to go, but between the cost it would take for me to drive over and back solo and having done Plopsa for the last 3 years, it just hasn't worked out :(
Next Live hopefully!
I mean the main question right now is why would such a basic-looking coaster require a maintenance building? Very rarely do you get such small-scale coasters with something like that.
Presumably it's just for engineers' comfort when working on the ride. But it does beg the question if there's a...
Photo dump alert!
Images from "France Bleu", who say the ride is on track for a mid-June opening.
Also, a couple more photos from a French forum, showing a boat on the track...
2021: I got 17 creds in the UK, and didn't leave the country.
With Covid restricting travel / the uncertainty around needing a negative test, etc, plus not having much free time, it meant having to get creative, doing parks which weren't high on my list (Wicksteed, the Skegness lot), plus also...
I do my utmost to avoid knowledge of indoor rides, especially coasters. With the rise in trick tracks and such I think it's crucial to be able to properly experience them.
Other rides is a mix. With many rides, you can obviously see (at least part of) the ride's layout, watch it when in the...
My understanding is that it is land which is effectively greenbelt land, in the sense of the local council won't permit rides to be built on that area.
Zufari is a happy medium as the majority of the land remains 'green' if you will.
Must add the caveat I don't know this for certain and can't...
There's a lot of good points raised about it simply being human nature.
I think another thing to add is that there are very few actively "bad" rides around. Yes, there's rides people don't enjoy, avoid, etc, but most have at least one redeeming quality.
But naturally, when there's a ride you...
Inspired by @Rob Coasters, I've added a "Missed Creds" sheet to my Cred Sheet. I'm not including things like not riding all coasters at somewhere like Winter Wonderland (as I honestly can't be bothered to check what I had, what I chose not to ride, etc).
I've included vague reasons, and...
Not confirmed for all animals.
However, i's certainly my understanding from the recent planning applications.
Here is an excerpt from the Scorpion Express replacement application:
This makes it clear the animals from the Petting Zoo will go to Wanyama. It certainly suggests that all animals...
I think the reason is that we've gotten too soft. That's right, the coaster community has gone woke!!
That's a joke, just to be clear.
but it dipped in with a sense of reality.
Matt said it from the forefront: as technology has advanced, coasters have become smoother. And that's meant that...
Is your friend able to confirm if it's running at reduced capacity, hence the need for reservation? Or is this just because of expected popularity after reopening?
Park have shared another construction update:
Towards the end of the video, you see the train launch, and the train has a rather noticeable bounce, and some noting that the launch track isn't completely level.
Whether there's a level of camera trickery with regards to this, something which...
That certainly seems to be the case, but I think in reality we know very little.
Personally, I'd be surprised if Djurs got anything like Toutatis. The park could do with a coaster with inversions, and perhaps another big thrill ride to compliment Piraten. But something the scale of Toutatis...
