    Alton Towers New Flat Ride?

Idk about anything else but pirate ships are also the only ride that are guaranteed to make me sick, no matter how rested, how fed, how hydrated, if I've ridden anything else that day, I'll always be nauseous coming off a pirate ship. Technical Park Pegasus, HUSS Booster, spinning coasters...

Icon Park - Drop Tower Accident 24/03/2022

Canada's also a halfway situation iirc even if somewhat officially they're metric, which would make sense given the cultural exchange with the US, I've heard lots of Canadians refer to their own height in feet and inches. Stone seems like a really arbitrary measurement given Google says it's 14...

Icon Park - Drop Tower Accident 24/03/2022

Not the point remotely but in which country do you measure weight in stones and why At least pounds (weight) are backed by the most culturally/politically significant country in the world rn.

Six Flags Qiddiya| Saudi Arabia | Theme Park

That's so lame lmao, they could've done that with an actual layout instead of making Pantheon but the budget ran out mid project.

Small News From The Theme Park Industry

I mean. Zamperla supplied a whole amusement park worth of rides in Pyongyang, I don't think sanctions and shipping is a challenge for them.

Six Flags Qiddiya| Saudi Arabia | Theme Park

That from the air photo also gives scale to that ridiculous tower ride? That's a ride, right? It looks like a 20m wide across S&S shot tower. Anyway I wasn't aware of Spitfire being built, or I'd heard the name but not actually known what it is and I'm curious as to whose bright idea it was to...

Thoughts on Hyde Park Winter Wonderland?

^^ OT but those veggie nuggets look like a crime to humanity. I've actually seen that in the UK before, I guess why make imitation chicken meat (really easy) when you could shove some mushy unseasoned vegetables into a crust instead?

Europa Park | Voltron | Mack Rides Stryker Coaster | 2024

^ All the videos I've seen of this feature have it sound like it would be EXTREMELY LOUD in person, high pitched too. Like does this not break your ears when you're actually there? I've been around much smaller tesla coils on ghost trains and such and even those have been unbearably loud, but...

    New attractions at Paultons Park

I guess this is kinda an answer to Gerstlauer's switch track family coasters and Vekoma's LIM family launch coasters?

    Serengeti-Park | Gozimba | RES Air loop | 2024

Well now we know (timestamped video). I don't know if Serengeti-Park needs the extra capacity but turns out that part where the train is high off the ground is so that the gondolas can rotate there as well, and they slide to a taller loading floor.

    S&S RailRyder (Revived SteepleChase Model)

That looks really fun actually and could provide a sensation center of gravity wise only really achievable on Maurer spike coaster rn, except you know, not a weird powered coaster.

Kingda Ka and Green Lantern's removal for new 2026 record-breaking coaster

Gotta say can't help but feel like the coaster community as a whole was so brutal (all their comments sections are absolute poison for the past couple weeks) towards ElToroRyan, Coaster Studios and everyone else who came out so sure that it'd close forever on Sunday just because they didn't like...

A proper S&S Axis coaster, maybe?

Kingda Ka and Green Lantern's removal for new 2026 record-breaking coaster

Same enthusiast circles who said that Kingda Ka would close without announcement (permanently, in this form at least) said last public train was on Sunday, so at this point we can probably believe them on that. Last I saw one train was near fully dismantled, one was temperamental and only one...

Kingda Ka and Green Lantern's removal for new 2026 record-breaking coaster

So if it gets a TT2-esque treatment and doesn't get fully demolished does that not still mean that in essence Ka as it stands is going away in any case? I imagine people would've been doing these goodbye rounds to TTD too if it hadn't been SBNO for like a year before they announced they'd be...

Kingda Ka and Green Lantern's removal for new 2026 record-breaking coaster

^ Does anybody actually like Superman anymore though? It barely goes up the tower at all and the launch isn't enough to be a selling point. They could even keep the drop tower on that unlike Zumanjaro, since Dreamworld did that in Australia. ^^ One of the trains was completely dismantled a...

Small News From The Theme Park Industry

^ They probably spent ungodly amounts (at least relative to their revenue) of money on developing the coaster type hence why they're constantly trying to come up with new gimmicks and ways to sell it to parks. But hey, at least the cruise ships are buying em. And Qiddiya.

    Six Flags Over Texas | record-breaking B&M dive coaster | 2026

I loved Bob when that was at Efteling but I understand these are a pain to maintain, I'll just miss this ride style as I despise the Mack bobsleds. Maybe Flying Turns is the shining ray of light in that style of ride if I ever get to ride that.
