Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2018
Oh my god, Pleasure Beach have are considering installing an Air Race?! Nice! That would be a really good fit. Can't think where they'd fit it in, but yeah that'd be nice.
But yeah about the whole B&M thing, I doubt they'd install that. Outside of...
So I experienced my second extreme attraction the other week, Scare Kingdom's Snuffhouse: After Dark. It was incredible, very different to the previous Psychomanteum. This focussed on psychological scares and mental manipulation. *shameless plugging* Here's my review of the event for those...
I am always totally intruiged by the prospect of a Disney halloween event. I really wish I had been through their walkthroughs. The prospect of a Disney scare attraction literally blows my mind! How were they?
Re: 'Dreamlanding Adventure Park' planned for Mississippi 20
That website looks totally legit, I don't understand why everyone's being so pessamistic...
Ha, in all seriousness wow... just wow... At least London Paramount looked professional. This is just... a complete and total pipe...
Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2018
Umm valhalla would like a word with you...
Ha in all seriousness I think the park allready has a great line-up. Valhalla, Sky Force, Wild Mouse, Revolution and Nash are all fantastic rides in my opinion. This will just be another great addition to...
Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2018
It's not an inversion, but it looks rad! Ha almost looks like something RMC would put on one of their coasters.
Oooh good question. I would've said Chessington without doubt, prior to the addition of Lost Kingdom. But now, I am not sure at all, infact I may even say Paultons.
Cred wise it's tough. Dragons Fury is one of the best family creds I have ridden. It's fast and pretty forceful for a family...
Depends what you count as an inversion, Air at Alton Towers has the lie to fly 'inversions' but eh, they kinda don't really count. Otherwise it was Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe, which in all fairness is a really good beginner inverting coaster.
Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2018
Yeah I think the whole point of the coaster is a ground-hugging, speedy, airtime extravaganza. I don't necessarily know what more inversions could add. I feel if they removed some of the airtime elements for inversions, they'd remove what makes the...
I pretty much jumped in the deep end (or atleast for the UK anyway) with Stealth. It's peculiar, even to thiss day that launch still surprises me. It's just so intense.
Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2018
Ha i've never thought about it in that way, but come to think of it you're right! Project 2018 definitely does share some heavy similarities with Maverick. Here's hoping it reaches as much critical acclaim.
I'm not so sure how much these things cost, so it could be out of their price range... but one of those mack suspended power coasters like Arthur would work wonders at Paultons. They've shown they can do great theming with Lost Kingdom, so I think they could work with that concept on a dark ride...
I don't think a thrill or launch coaster is likely at all i'm afraid. Their current audience is doing them really well, so I can't see them diverging. Also I seem to remember hearing their neighbors are rather fussy about additions, there was some drama when The Edge went in.
To be totally...
I don't know why but to me I always thought a small GG woodie would be ideal for Flamingoland, something like Wooden Warrior of Roarasaurus. I'm assuming that's somewhat possible for a park of Flamingolands size.
Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2018
Not that I necessarily disagree, but I am kinda confused by your reasoning. Ask the GP in the Midlands/South what Flamingoland or Lightwater Valley are and they wouldn't have a clue. Ask them to name an amusement/theme park and I can assure you they'd...
Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2018
I would've thought so? They're both large scale parks targeted at a family/thrill audience. They're not all that far away from each other and they both have a decent mix of rides. I would imagine Alton gets more people from the south, but people from...
Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2018
Alton won't know what hit them. Though they most certainly should, I mean if half of us have seen the plans, how the hell did Alton ok a small family size woodie for 2018. Surely they know what a beast they're going to be up against.
Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Project 2018
Yeah it genuinely looks incredible. Really glad to see what's likely to be the best coaster in the UK coming to Blackpool. Should hopefully kick Merlin into gear into investing in decent coasters for Thorpe, Alton and Chessington.
Does anyone actually care what Flamingoland are getting? It's not like they'd be able to afford anything that would make the park actually worth visiting.
