USA and Vancouver PTR Part 6: Dollywood & Pigeon Forge

Pity you never made it to Meow Wolf, it's quite the head trip. They also have an amazing bookstore called The Tattered Cover. But all those are fun parks to visit--though I have heard Lakeside is going pretty downhill in terms of ops. Pity, because it's a unique place to visit with a lot of...

    Knott's Timberline Twister Replacement

Yes, but none of those are literally exact duplicates

    Knott's Timberline Twister Replacement

Both Disney and SFMM already have a Vekoma Roller Skater. I thought the rumor was a copy of Canada Wonderland's Snoopy's Racing Railway? Although, given Knott's history, I'd figure they'd give it the Soap Box Racer name.

Space Mountain (Florida) vs Space Mountain (California)

California is better themed, on board sound, and much, much smoother. While it may be a tamer ride, that's enough for a win to me. No contest. I think things would get more interesting comparing WDW Space with CA's Matterhorn... that's a much more similar comparison in terms of ride quality...

Lagoon | Primordial | ART Engineering/Triotech Dark Ride Coaster

Any updates on this? I saw the vid of it valleying during testing, and another forum has claimed it it having some major problems, and likely won't open until next year--but wasn't any more specific.

    Cedar Point | Top Thrill 2 | Triple Launch Renovation | 2024

The wheels for Superman: The Escape at SFMM appear to be a about the same size... and when you think about it, that ride and TT2 have a comperable ride experience (especially since S:TE now has a a forward and backward side)

"...new crowd favorite – the rollback." If this is a real leak, they have to stop getting fan boys to write the copy

"American Heartland" Park and Resort in Oklahoma, aiming for 2026 open

I'm still not holding my breath, but hey... if it does finally open, that'll be great. Lost Island has a similar disadvantage, location-wise, but had a much smaller budget... and is still struggling with attendance. Which is a pity, because it's a great little park. I was just there less than...

"American Heartland" Park and Resort in Oklahoma, aiming for 2026 open

I'm sure this will open right after Cota land and that Pole Coaster in Orlando opens

    Cedar Point | Top Thrill 2 | Triple Launch Renovation | 2024

I always thought Alpengeist is more about the ski lift, then then goes "out of control" for the rest of the ride.

Six Flags closing multiple rides for 2023

On the other side of the news, SF Great America is reopening their Sky Trek (Sky Tower) after being closed for 4+ years. https://wgntv.com/podcasts/coastin-the-country/sky-trek-tower-reopening-at-six-flags-great-america/

Since then, they've added decals that now mirror the concept art.

Six Flags closing multiple rides for 2023

Not that it's a huge deal, but the Magic Mover at SFMM has still been in operation. So at least for now, I feel that can be taken off the list. And at least Goliath and Riddler are now back up, with a rumor that Roaring Rapids may actually be getting ready to return, so there's some hope in...

    Best six flags park

I've been to every Six Flags branded park in the US (just missing the international parks and Frontier City, Great Escape). And Magic Mountain is basically my home park. I actually sort of prefer SFGrAdv... mainly because of it's crazy theming, and huge variety of flat rides--which are...

Six Flags closing multiple rides for 2023

I'm not 100% sure, but I was just as SFMM this past weekend, and I thought I saw them Magic Mover open. I could be wrong, though. I'll keep an eye out on it on future visits, but I hadn't heard anything.

Is Tidal Twister a good ride?

It's not really smoother, but I did like it better in that it's a more unique layout that Harley Quinn--gotta give it that. It's not a great ride, but I don't hate it as much as I thought I would.

Knott’s Berry Farm | MonteZOOMa: The Forbidden Fortress | Schwarzkopf Launch Refurb | 2025?

Even more so, Space Mountain at Disneyland, when they tore out the original track, and replaced it with a duplicate track. Or Hulk at IOA. In this particular case for MonteZOOMa, I'd say it is a different credit, because it'll be such a different experience.

Six Flags Over Texas | Original Mr. Freeze is back

While I'm not an expert, I believe the California requirement is that any ride that has inversions must have a redundant device. A seat belt would also work... which is what they did for The New Revolution when they debuted those trains. In my opinion, the reason why the parks prefer the...
