    Energylandia's Future Additions

I don’t know if this was already considered public knowledge, but apparently the park now plans to add 2 hotels, instead of just one. I also recall that the Venetian hotel was planned to be near Aqualantis/Sweet valley, but it’s now planned to be next to the indoor water park. Image source...

    Your worst spite

As a kid, my uncle took me to a theme park once a year. As we lived quite close, and this was one of my first theme parks, I was in love with Warner Bros. Movie World (nowadays Movie park). As kids are, this park was the greatest, grandest and best theme park there is and will ever be. AND they...

    Rookburgh (including F.L.Y) @ Phantasialand

I am not sure if I should post this already... but honestly, after moving in with both of our s/os, we finally found the time and motivation again to keep on going. But every bit of additional motivation is welcome. We already broke the 400,000 parts barrier (Klugheim had ~220,000) and it's just...

Highest ride count you've ever attained during a theme park day?

Never really counted... my highscore on a single day were 78 rides on Taiga (and just Taiga) within 8 hours, Taron was 38 rides during a day. I don't know how many other attractions I did at Phantasialand that day, though. But it was plenty, I spend just a fraction of my day at Taron. So 38 + X...

Dollywood announce Lightning Rod's launch to be replaced with chain lift

The launch ended before it reached the top, so the train never hit the crest with 45mph. Upon the first change, they made the launch end earlier, still reaching the same top speed but due to a longer distance rolling free it crawled over the Dollies.

Dollywood announce Lightning Rod's launch to be replaced with chain lift

Did anyone realise that they also announced new trains as well? Really a shame to see the launch go, I am finally doing my US trip in 2024 and will have to skip TTD (also not TT2) and Lightning Rod as well. Albeit that LRs launch was neutered a long time ago and the lift will „nearly“ be the...

    Rank your Ridden B&M Inverts

I don’t blame you for saying that, I just wanted to figure out if you just rode it one day or on multiple occasions. As the latter one is the case, I might not agree with you, but a)it’s down to personal preferences and b) You are likely to have had more rides on it then I did. I just saw my...

2023 Golden Ticket Award winners announced

Really fun to the that Europapark is supposed to be in the top 5 for food, but Phantasialand, although being vastly superior is not. Well, the whole award just causes headscratching 90% of the time, so this is to be expected.

    Rank your Ridden B&M Inverts

That was pretty much my experience upon riding it in 2019; however, my 2022 ride was significantly better, and now I consider it one of the best B&Ms I’ve done. I think Nemesis is prone to having some bad days, and on those it is a decent ride, but nothing more. When did you ride it?

Europa Park | Voltron | Mack Rides Stryker Coaster | 2024

Europapark might have the best operations in the world, and they are determined to keep it that way. The ride has 2 block-zones mid-ride for a reason.

    Throughput Timings Thread

When I visited this April, the ops were not great, but they pushed out a train every 5 or 6 minutes which is somewhat reasonable with 1 train ops. Especially considering their glasses policy. 12 minutes dispatches are simply abysmal.

Have you been to IMG Worlds of adventure? It took them 25 minutes to dispatch 5 trains on their Blue Fire clone. But reading 12:42 per train, Ferrari World has the crown…

    Bad moments on good rides

I’d also like to mention the S-Bends up the hill on Helix. Not forceful, not dynamic, just… kinda there.

    Bad moments on good rides

The Floater hill and the subsequent Overbanked on Hyperion. Guess from dynamic and intense to sluggish and forceless. Juvelen‘s final hills. Whilst the ride is surprisingly intense and well paced for a family coaster, it’s final pair of hills are just there and add nothing to the ride...

    Rides that don't feel safe

I can agree. The lack of any kind of restraint or seatbelt + the curve after the second drop make river quest really feel unsafe. I heard that nowadays, they would not be able to build a ride like this anymore due to the curve being too close to the second drop; don’t know if it’s true, though...

    Rides that don't feel safe

Wodan on a hot, sunny day also feels unsafe. The beginning is reasonable fast, but the S-bends after the photo is taken are insane. Just feels as if the train would just completely derail and fly of the tracks at every turn. Tornado at Bakken also deserves a shoutout. Spinning without any...

    10. The Ride to Happiness by Tomorrowland: Airtime Pop going in the panormanic-curve 9. Untamed 270° double inverting corner stall 8. Lech Coaster combination of the intense first couple of elements followed by a great airtime pop 7. Zadra Zero-G stall 6. Kondaa Outward banked Airtime Hill 5...

Vekoma Tilt Coaster coming to Energylandia in 202?

Before anyone gets too exited for the Tilt coaster after seing the video - keep in mind that that is a fan made video. The shaping of those elements as well as their dimensions might not be exactly on point. Don't get me wrong, if it were as full throttle as this video implies, I'd be more than...

Europa Park | Voltron | Mack Rides Stryker Coaster | 2024

I think no one should be suprised by Voltron having a prominent sponsor. Europa has done sponsoring deals for major attractions for way over a decade now (maybe even 2), given the inflation it makes lots of sense that they'd continue with Voltron. However, I think there are different ways of...

Europa Park | Voltron | Mack Rides Stryker Coaster | 2024

Blue Fire‘s was not a subtitle, it was the actual name of the ride. Every single mention from the park utilised the full name, always calling it blue fire megacoaster Powered by Nordstream 2. What you mean is the sponsoring of Wodan, which is actually named „Wodan Timburcoaster in cooperation...
