Europa Park | Voltron | Mack Rides Stryker Coaster | 2024

Because it was going about 2 km/h at the very top. I have to admit, my hype level was pretty high at some point, but now that I see the ride testing, it is dropping significantly. I saw a video today of its stall. While it would deliver insane hangtime, it also means that the subsequent...

Europa Park | Voltron | Mack Rides Stryker Coaster | 2024

It is .5 km/h past a roll back on the top-hat. A gust of wind and it would‘ve had a rollback. I remain confident that it will be faster than that when it opens. The part after the MCBR looked decent. On the other hand, Europa park is not known for its thrill rides. They tend to keep their...

Europa Park | Voltron | Mack Rides Stryker Coaster | 2024

Jokes aside - it truly does. Let’s hope that that is not the final speed. But with it being one of the first test runs (with a real train), it is realistic that it speeds up until opening.

Europa Park | Voltron | Mack Rides Stryker Coaster | 2024

The lockers appear to be located quite close to the station. How much queue follows afterwards is difficult to say, but it can't be that much. I think @VonRolland wanted to emphazise the kind of locker system that is going to be used. Europapark specifically said that the lockers will be the...

Europa Park | Voltron | Mack Rides Stryker Coaster | 2024

It all depends on a parks operations. If your ops are good, a moving station will give you plenty of time to dispatch a train and take stress of the operators. If you’re short staffed, or your procedures just take long, it will hamper the dispatches as the whole station comes to a full stop...

What is your top coaster on your bucket list?

I305. I love coasters that feel way too fast, way too intense and have some intense twists. That is pretty much the whole concept of I305. It will either be my new number 1 by a long shot, or not even make it into the Top 50.

What new-to-you coasters do you feel are your most likely top 10(ish) contenders in 2024?

As opening hours are not fully public yet, we couldn't finalize out planning. Therefore, this list is based on the parks we intend to hit on this years Mega Hyper Giga-trip. #1 contender: Intimidator 305 Top 10 contenders: Maverick Steel Vengeance Fury 325 Lightning Rod Wildcats Revenge...

    Zhipao New Vertical Coaster Debuts

Including the horrible rattle 😂 I expect empty trains on a brand new ride to loose quite a bit of speed throughout the layout, but this is really a lot of energy that’s being lost there. It is better than older Chinese knockoffs which lost half their momentum after the first element, but...

Europa Park | Voltron | Mack Rides Stryker Coaster | 2024

Might just be a different mix to accomodate for lower temperatures. I have a wheel used for testing the coasters prior to opening, and that looks the same. I also don't know if Voltron uses larger diameter wheels.

    WTF Merlin?

It's water related, and Merlin doesn't like water.

Maybe I can give it a try this year. Cologne, Germany.

Europa Park | Voltron | Mack Rides Stryker Coaster | 2024

Looks very much like the pillars for a large hall, maybe for another logistics center or a similar building.

Europa Park | Voltron | Mack Rides Stryker Coaster | 2024

Please note that this will not be the rides final speed. The park stated in the comments that the ride is running (a bit) faster than it will during normal operations. If it were my descision, I would keep the speed as it is :)

Valhalla at Blackpool Pleasure Beach to be refurbished for 2023

I haven’t been on the new Valhalla either, but from what I’ve heard - and please correct me if I am mistaking, Valhalla might only run for a few (advertised) hours per day, but with all of its effect working. They removed the ice room (which was the „coolest“ part for me, no pun intended, but...

    WTF Merlin?

It’s a bit late for an April fools joke, isn’t it? Looks like they had nothing to do for an intern, so he was allowed to create a new logo. I hope they didn’t pay money for this.

Six Flags Qiddiya| Saudi Arabia | Theme Park

They might have enough maintenance budget and manpower to keep this thing running for more than a couple of hours per week.

    WTF BPB?

I mean… she’s got a point. Many annual pass holders really seem to be a little bit arrogant, acting as if they were VIPs in some way or another. That is something that seemingly just comes with someone being in a park many times a year. A surprising amount of annual pass holders even seem to...

Vekoma Tilt Coaster coming to Energylandia in 202?

FOMO coaster is usually pretty well informed when it comes to Energylandia. It's not an official statement, but if FOMO reports on it, it's very likely to be true.
