I'm pretty pleased. There's a lot of design elements they have never used (the studs on the rooflines and atticas, the green roofs, the 3d planks, the sculpted trees look amazing) and overall, there seems to be more variety in terms of typologies and room types than I had expected.
I'm pretty happy with what we get to see. My biggest concern was that it may not feel like a "massive" coaster with it being only four rows. Ride vehicles at Lost Gravity always feel way too short and light to feel substantial to me, it's almost as if they were sending you off in a wild mouse...
LEGOLAND Billund will receive a LEGO DUPLO PEPPA PIG area in 2024, while the currently under-construction Peppa Pig Park at the Legoland resort in Germany will also feature LEGO DUPLO PEPPA PIG theming. LEGO will also feature a line of Duplo Peppa Pig products.
Merlin press release
LEGOLAND's 2025 project (first posted here) will be a LEGO Galaxy-themed land featuring a launched indoor coaster, a Huss Airboat flat ride and playscapes as reported by Parkfans and Screamscape.
The new land will replace the current driving school and junior driving school at LEGOLAND...
Well, I do enjoy the boldness of the font. And I do enjoy how the font and the colour palette both scream 1979 to me, which is a nice nod to the park's roots.
That's what's really bothering me about this.
Merlin have just announced what sounds like a mere retheme of and some new ride vehicles for the Safari and Fairytale Brook. A "reimagined" Dino Dig Area will feature Meet & Greats. The rethemed land will be called Dino Valley and will open in spring 2024. So it seems that the 2025 project went...
Merlin have issued a press release announcing both a Ferrari Build & Race experience for the park and a Sea Life Center for the resort. So probably that's what's going to the Flight School site?
This comes as somewhat of a surprise to me as there is already one operating in Orlando, so...
I remember reading an interview with Merlin's CEO Scott O'Neill somewhere (maybe Blooloop? Don't remember), where he stated his plan was to establish Merlin itself as a more recognizable brand, so I wonder if we will see something along the line of "Merlin Thorpe Park Resort" or "Thorpe Park - a...
I guess it's a mixture of both preventing people from spending money at the parks due to crowds ("look, ride X has a 90 minute queue, let's not go today!") and making sure as many people as possible have location tracking enabled during their park visit in the app so they can monitor visitor...
Interesting. Screamscape speculated here this might be the LEGO Factory Adventure Ride from New York (and Korea), but the stated hall is both significantly larger and a few meters taller than that ride. So might this fit a themed indoor coaster? Merlin are currently adding coasters to LEGOLAND...
Merlin aim for a 90% satisfaction rate. So anything less than 10% of visitors on average unsatisfied with their visit is ok with them. Meanwhile, if I recall correctly, Efteling's aim is to get an average (!) guest satisfaction score of 9 out of 10, so to make up for one pissed guest (rating...
