    Last Cred Review

I also rode Karnan this week and was floored by it. Got around 12 laps in over two days as thankfully there was never a queue. Ride staff never stapled (only restraint check was a pull up) so there's some terrifying airtime to be had if you're brave enough. My favourite lap was back row left...

    Rank the Alton Towers coasters

I'm not sure it has any elector at all, there's a yank and a tickle of airtime here and there but that's about it. What are you benchmarking this against Matt?

Busch Gardens Tampa | Iron Gwazi | RMC Gwazi | 2022

No Matt, it's not 'supposedly suffering from structural problems'. That was a baseless claim made by rwinger24. It's information that should be disregarded immediately and judging by his post history I don't think it's wise to give him that engagement.

    Hyperion vs Shambhala

Initially I thought Shambhala. Went to Energylandia the year Hyperion opened and only got two back row rides on the rough as nails train. Enjoyed it but thought Shambhala was better. However I returned the next year and had a euphoric Hyperion front row middle seat ride and it changed my mind...

Who is your favourite manufacturer of hyper coasters?

Lol Matt, I presume these quotes are from vlogs where the aim of the game is to come up with controversial 'unpopular' opinions to generate clicks and discussion. Don't read much into it. In terms of hypers I've been on Shambhala, Silver Star, Dutch Goliath, Geforce, Hyperion and Flying Aces...

Theme Parks that Havent Received a coaster in Years

Disneyland Paris. Last coaster opened in 1995 nearly 30 years ago. Since the 2000s only two new rides have opened (Buzz and Star Tours). Given how much investment is being pumped into the Studios park next door I wouldn't be surprised if another ten years go past without a new ride in the main...

I just really want to try Speed 07/08/21

Excellently written Mr Coastercore, you're a naturally funny guy. Sounds like you got about what you expected out of the trip so I guess a success even though Oakwood is bleak. I visited once while I was at uni in Swansea and found it alright. Speed is great but not much else is worth doing...

Strongest lineup of non-coaster attractions in the UK?

Thorpe back when they had Slammers and Loggers would have been in with a shout. No dark rides but a thorough and comprehensive variety of flats and water rides. Now not so much because there's so much SBNO, Samurai spends half the season in pieces and Rush often doesn't go beyond 90 degrees. I...

    Worlds of Globala

Beautiful Matt, really enjoyed following this one. The effort and time you sink into CF certainly doesn't go unnoticed.

    Favorite Florida Coasters?

In your opinion, what's wrong with Derren Brown's Ghost Train, and why did it fail?

Beyond the issues of poor theming, story, operations, etc the problem is the ride itself is really boring as a concept. It's more a midway Dungeon style attraction than a theme park ride but as a midway it's still underwhelming. The better Dungeons scenes such as Sweeney Todd and Ten Bells Pubs...

    New rides @ small parks

Makes sense, half the park was closed off which made it clear it wasn't for maintenance reasons. Flamingo Park was dead but it's mid July and Hastings was bustling, I do wonder how long they'll be able to hold onto a coaster as big as Pinball X if they're not opening it all year. Place will...

    New rides @ small parks

Travelled down to Flamingo Park today for the new Pinball X but it was closed. Bit gutted but got a +1 on the caterpillar. I've had terrible luck with spinning mouses the last year. Been spited by 3 (Hastings, Skegness, Crealy) and only ridden the one in Blackpool South Pier. 75% spite rate.

    Top 10(ish): 2021 Edition - page 102

Chin up Matt, you're nearly 18 so give it a year or two and you'll be jetting off on solo European cred jaunts with either job money or student loan money. Not long to go buddy.

Small News From The Theme Park Industry

I'd be surprised if it gets a replacement, the ride and queue didn't take up much space. On a personal note I'm gutted I didn't ride it when I had the chance as the queue was too big. Same as I did with the Blackpool Mouse 11 years ago. Never pass a weird ride and not go on it.

    Kiddie Coaster Etiquette

Matt's recent discussion in his Paultons thread has got me thinking about the embarrassment of riding tiny coasters and if there are ways to make the experience less excruciating. I recently split from some mates on a day out in Portsmouth to ride the caterpillar coaster on South Parade Pier. I...

Marmite; love it or hate it?

Anyone else into using bovril as a spread rather than a drink? It's great on toast and also mixed into pasta. I can take or leave marmite but bovril tastes gorgeous, slightly less sharp.

    Future prospects for B&M

No Matt, you can't do that. Someone's opinion doesn't carry more weight just because they published a YouTube video. Let's hear your own thoughts dude, that's plenty enough for all us.

    WTF Merlin?

Possibly the wrong topic for this as I agree with Merlin putting this rule in. Huge thread on Twitter about how if you're mask exempt you have to sit on the back row of coasters. People unironically comparing it to Rosa Parks and racial segregation. Shocking stuff. (Scroll up slightly for the...
