Raik valleyed yesterday. Extremely cold temperatures apparently caused the train to stall during the return trip, and riders had to be evacuated once they came to a complete stop at the bottom. Taron also had to be shut while evacuation on Raik took place, but was back open later in the day. Raik’s train ended up sitting at the bottom of the ravine until it was hoisted back up to the station after the park closed, and the coaster was up and running again as of today.

So apparently Raik wasn't the only Vekoma coaster to valley yesterday, as Booster Bike at Toverland met with a similar fate. Given Toverland's relative proximity to Phantasialand (less than 100 kilometers), similar temperature conditions caused the train to stall before the final set of hills. Toverland is only open on weekends during the winter, and the stalled train is said to be in the process of being towed back to the station, so it should be operating again this coming Saturday.

Will be curious to see how it affects the rest of the course given the reports of Wolverine Wildcat and Predator running faster after their respective retrack. Some of the later hills could be amazing if taken with a bit more speed.

After months of everyone assuming it was dead, it would appear that Enterprise at Alton Towers may have life in it yet, as they could possibly be putting it back together according to recent drone photos: https://www.instagram.com/p/ClzELOq...d&ig_mid=9DDE75A5-9E50-4776-A11D-0836D137E8F1
Intriguing… Enterprise’s resurgence was expected by few, but the prospect now doesn’t seem that far-fetched given that photo!

Sequoia Magic Loop at Gardaland will soon be no more. After going SBNO in 2021, the park has now filed a permit to demolish the ride. That leaves Man-O-War at Mysterious Island in China as the last remaining S&S Screaming Squirrel.

Toverland seems to be doing everything in their power to prevent the valleying from happening again and keep their coasters operational despite the cold, as the park has purchased mobile heating units to warm up the trains on both Booster Bike and D’wervelwind before they’re put in use:

Jinma Rides new LSM coaster going to Sanya Silk Road Happy World has begun testing. I'm very interested to see a POV of the coaster, it looks like an all right layout with the Intamin-ish trains and B&M-ish track It should be a decent ride.
