What sporting event made you cheer loudest?

Many of us are fans of at least one sport but what event/result made you cheer the loudest? Was it a 90th minute goal in a football game or an ace to take the championship point of a grand slam.

For me it is probably when Andy Murray won Wimbledon last year, I roared so loud I made my sister jump in the garden.

That's an easy one. I was in the press box, about 6-7 rows up behind the German bench and I jumped out of my seat just like everyone else did. The entire stadium literally erupted!

I've only jumped out of my seat once before in a press box. Brazil was up 3-0 at the half and this is how the game ended. Skip ahead to 4:45 in the video.

2011 World Series Game 6. This has to be the most exciting baseball game I have ever seen! I was so jacked up after watching this game I could hardly sleep!

I am a die hard sports fan, and "my teams" determine my mood way too much. I get too emotionally involved. That said, I've been to my share of terrific events, and the one where my voice goes, are the best.

The best is college football, then NFL. Upwards of 100,000 people in some places yelling at the same time is something else. Planning on starting a tour of all the big college stadiums this year with Ohio State. Being in the student section for a big game was one of craziest moments I've experienced. Getting a rise out of Nebraska QB for saying some questionable comments was a blast, especially as security was required to get in front of our section because we were "too out of control." ......thenthegamestarted.

When I went to watch WWE wrestling events twice with my brother, on their European tour in Liverpool's Echo Arena and in Manchester Evening News Arena. It was a blast. Didn't get autographs doh!

In terms of being there, probably Podolski's goal against Liverpool in the FA Cup.

In general terms, Ramsey's goal had me in pieces in the FA Cup, been a while since I lost my voice through celebrating.

Arsenal aside, Walcott scoring for England vs Sweden.

Football aside, Murray winning Olympic Gold almost had me in tears, likewise with Wimbledon but that was more relief after such a long game to seal it.

-Aguero's last minute goal to win the Premier league (I'm a Chelsea fan, but to see City rob United of the title was a fantastic moment!).
-Beckham's free kick against Greece.
-Frock knocking out Groves (Last night!).
-David Haye winning the Heavyweight title from Nickolai Valuev.
-The moment Michael Kasprowicz was caught behind by Geraint Jones from Steve Harmison's bowling to win us an extremely valuable test match in the 2005 Ashes series.

From there forward. I'd never been to a hockey game but the Columbus Blue Jackets hosted their first home playoff game.. down 3-0, came back for the win. I instantly became a huge hockey fan.

This game wound up being the Big East title game for the year, with the winner continuing on to play in the BCS Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana on New Years Day. Whoever lost would take the second seat Big East bowl game, which was the Poinsettia Bowl on December 26. And since I was in the marching band - it would also determine where I would travel as well.

All of which is to say: if UC won, I would get to go to New Orleans and drink on Bourbon Street for New Years. If UC lost, I would miss Christmas with travel time to the Poinsettia Bowl. Yeah, I had a lot riding on this game.

UC was trailing by two touchdowns throughout the entire game, with both offenses constantly scoring. However, UC was able to cut Pitts' lead to 7 points headed into the half with a kickoff return touchdown from Mardy Gilyard. Later in the second half, Pitt had scored a touchdown, but missed the extra point kick. This set up for a hectic last few minutes of the game, with UC going for a long pass with 38 seconds left on the clock (starts at 6:48 in the video), and the UC receiver Armon Binns coming down with the ball. With the point after kick, the final score was 45 - 44, UC.

Probably the 2011 Female World Cup Quarterfinal match between the USA and Brazil. Just a fantastic game but it probably helped that i was at my cousin's and my cousin and Uncle get really loud and into their sports games.

For the record, the loudest sporting event ever recorded was at 137.6 decibels during an NFL football game between the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers. The cheering was loud enough to register as a small earthquake on the richter scale.

That's a bull **** record because they claim it's outdoor, even though the seating is all covered. Arrowhead stadium has none of that crap and was beat by .1 decibel. If you put Chiefs fans in the Seattle stadium, it wouldnt be close.

^ Indeed, Centurylink Field was designed from the ground up to concentrate and focus sound. Talk about a home field advantage - 143 false-start penalties have been conducted by visiting teams from 2002 to 2012, second only to the Minnesota Vikings Stadium (an indoor stadium).

Sounds like Kansas City just needs to add some rain roofing over the seats to help condense the sound as well.

In 2006 the city struck down building a rolling roof that would service both Kauffman and Arrowhead, which would have resulted in the Chiefs hosting this upcoming Super Bowl. The taxpayers elected against this, and they pulled the bid for the game.
