I think this looks...OK. I'm just not really excited to ride it? I'd much prefer an updated Kongfrontation tbh, what an incredible ride concept! The adventure expedition gone wrong ride type is dull now and just meh to me.

Yeah, that's what I thought - I'm guessing it will be done with an extremely slim screen, like that seen on the Hogwarts Express ride in the carriage doors.ECG said:Here's a photo of the ride vehicle, but no sign of an animatronic driver.

I hope they have actors rather than animatronics. Although animatronics are so good these days it could be interesting to see.
If its a screen like Hogwarts express that's an easy option for universal in my opinion, an actual actor (if they are good) is much better than a screen.
Either way this should be pretty amazing. Personally I can't help thinking this could have been such an awesome Jurassic Park ride though with everyone boarding the jeeps and seeing dinosaurs rather than Kong. I just love the Jurassic Park theme though :lol:

Of course an actor and animatronic would be better - screens are less likely to break or cause harm to an actor than an animatronic would.
There's a chance that it may operate like The Great Movie Ride with the actor getting on and off the vehicle, but it's interesting to see how it'll work.

The park is trying to help market this ride with this silly Myth Busters hand held camera TV documentary thing as if they were visiting the real Skull Island. This is the first time they've gone inside and you can sort of see some other physical scenery.

It does look like a cool ride, but what 'Island' is this going to be on? Is it gunna be part of it's own area or part of the Jurassic Park island?
