MONTU MINI REVIEW
Without a doubt Montu is my favorite ride at Busch Gardens Tampa it powers through the ride and is butter smooth. It is my favorite invert as well. You start of with a ride hand turn into a little dip and begin to climb the 150 foot lift hill. You crest at the top and then head into your pre-drop. You bank left and then dive into your drop. I like this drop as you get whipped like crazy in the drop and it is just fun. You go into your first vertical loop and then proceed into a tunnel into which you then go into a immelman. What is good about this inversion is that you go so close to the wall it acts like a near miss element. You get some good hangtime and then you dive down and whip into an awesome zero g roll. It just whips you so hard and it is so smooth. I love this inversion. It is one of my all time favorite zero g rolls on a coaster. And yes that includes Kumba. You then go into the best element. Which is a super whippy batwing. You just get pulled like crazy if you are in the back. You then pop up into the md course and then dive into a drop of the break run. And this is what differentiates Montu from other inverted coasters. At certain points in the ride the coaster dives into these Egyptian trenches which is super cool. You then go into a vertical loop followed by this half helix and then you just dive and flip into this turn. And it'a like they tried to put a wave turn on an inverted coaster which is cool. You then just plummet into a corkscrew which is super forceful like Afterburn's. And then you just turn into the brakes. Overall Montu is a strong ride which enthusiasts will not want to miss. 10/10
