Planks on Wooden Coaster Tracks?

A friend of mine watched the POV of Viper at Wanda, Nagchang and asked me what the use of the seemingly-randomly place 'wooden planks' that appear along the track. Here's a screenshot showing what I'm talking about:

I genuinely had no clue, but noticed after looking at a couple of other wooden coaster POVs that it seems to be GCI coasters that have them (I noticed them on Joris at Efteling for example).

Anyone know what the purpose of them is?

It's to the engineers can access the other side of the track to check the bolts.
