(Ok, well sort-of)

Merlin Entertainments has submitted plans for a new adventure attraction at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC).
The 145,000 sq ft attraction – currently called Project Thor – will be partially indoors and potentially include a sky diving experience and high ropes course.

Can't wait to see if the large tv looks as good in real life as it does in the concept art.

So, it's just an FEC that they can whack out to even other midway location. Great. Ha.

To be fair FEC's are massive in places like the UAE, Malaysia and Indonesia. Ive always wondered if the concept would really work here.
However the examples of the Trocadero and New Metroland suggest they do not :( which is a shame.
They have however so far been pretty half arsed. a proper execution of the concept could do OK.

But if you look at the likes of XScape, they're massively successful and this is just that - it's a modernisation of the Xscape idea but with a themed narrative, so it would seem.

They’re also handing out leaflets at Alton Towers; the experiences range from £30-120 per person. I can’t remember exactly what each one entails, but I think they were skydiving, scuba diving, a base camp and a climbing wall.
