Morph your way into the Guinness World Records at Drayton Manor
An army of people wearing Zentai Suits, also known as Morphsuits, are being called upon to help set a new world record at Drayton Manor Theme Park.

On Saturday 7th May 2011, the award-winning park is aiming to enter the record books for the most number of people wearing Zentai Suits gathered in any one place. To achieve this, Drayton Manor wants as many people as possible, from students to families, young and old, to don the all-in-one outfits and come to the park, near Tamworth, Staffordshire, for the record attempt, which will take place at 12pm.

As part of Drayton Manor’s Morphsuit Mayhem, the park will even provide free entry to anyone who wears red, blue or yellow suits, as these are the colours of the park’s logo. People who wear different coloured costumes will also be well looked after as they’ll receive discount entry, paying just £5.

To receive free entry, or £5 discount, participants must wear their suits on arrival at the park, though their faces must not be covered at this stage.

Made from stretchy Spandex, the Zentai / Morphsuits cover the entire body from head to toe and are specially designed to allow the wearer to see out, but people can’t see in.

Colin Bryan, the park’s managing director, said: “People wear these costumes for all sorts of occasions, from sporting events and music festivals to nights out, so the sight of a theme park full of people wearing these suits will be a real spectacle. We hope people will back our attempt and come out in force for what should be a memorable and record breaking day.”

Visit www.draytonmanor.co.uk for further information about the park, including prices, our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/draytonmanorpark, or follow us on twitter (@draytonmanor) for all money-off deals, offers and competitions.

Record attempt: Saturday 7th May
Time: 12pm
Location: Main Field, Drayton Manor Theme Park, near Tamworth Staffordshire, B78 3TW. Location will be clearly sign posted.

Standard morph suits are £35 from www.morphsuits.co.uk

or premium for £40

So you pay £35 for a suit to get into a park for free with a gate price of £32?
Urm...yeah. Great savings.
Looks fun though.

What a **** ing stupid idea.

How many people actually own these stupid suits anyway? And how many of them will be close enough to Drayton to actually participate and get the "record"?

**** ing ridiculous.

I might do, haven't decided yet

We'll have to see. As Ollie pointed out, you have to fork out £35 for one of these suits, as well as pay to get into the park. On the other hand, it's a one off and original idea, so... cool)

^You get in the park for free if you have a suit. But I'm just saying you're paying more to get the suit to get in the park for free than you would just turning up and getting a ticket at the gate.

Ah I see. It does say that you have to pay £5 if you don't wear the designated colours (which I wasn't planning on doing).

Erm, I know 4 people who do whom I know have them. I'm sure there are others. I think they're ridiculous and stupid, but hey ho, that's just me.

Good luck for trying to break the "record" or whatever...

Oh my f*cking god...this looks like an invasion of the Puttie Patrol, those bad guys from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

I'm wondering...what kind of people do wear this?

Well, I went to Drayton Manor yesterday, and thought the turnout of morphs was very poor indeed. I rather suspect the weather had something to do with it. It was **** it down in Tamworth, first thing.

Re: Morph your way into Guinness World Records at Drayton Ma

This just about sums up what a sad, pathetic effort the whole thing was:

The Sun said:
A MASS of morph suit fans were mourning the catastrophic failure of their daft world record bid today - but at least nobody knows who they are.

Dozens of anonymous enthusiasts met in an attempt to break the spandexcellent world record of most 'morphs' in one place.

Sadly the attempt failed spectacularly when only 114 turned up - 136 short of their target of 250.

Downpours meant only the most hardcore 'Morphs' showed up at the Drayton Manor theme park, Staffs.

Morph suits are spandex catsuits which cover the wearer from head to toe, but are thin enough to allow them to see, hear and even drink.

Colin Bryant, Drayton Manor's managing director, said: "Morph suits are so popular at different events and locations that we wanted to give fans the opportunity to get together as a big group.

"It's been a wonderful atmosphere, people really enjoying themselves and it was fantastic to see big groups of brightly coloured Morphs whizzing around on the rides!"

Gavin, just chill out, matey. It was a bit of harmless fun was all.

The weather had a lot to do with the poor turnout.
