I recently went to Kings Island's 2018 preview night. Here's what went down.
The night started with a quick walk by the new "Coney Bar B Que". It looks interesting but (unsurprisingly) the cheapest thing on the menu was $15.
After a bit of walking, I got to my first ride of the season. Diamondback.
Something seemed a bit different with the trains. The seats were now entirely black and the restraints had a fresh, new, orange color. The trains overall looked cleaner. Maybe they got new trains, or simply revamped them.
I rode the night in the pitch dark, probably the best time to ride any Kings Island coaster. Sadly I didn't have the money to buy my photo.
The next and final ride of the night was Flight of Fear, which was only 20 minutes (pretty good for how crowded the park was). I came with the foreign exchange student from China, and he rode with me (no photo there either). His first looping coaster.
Some photos of the night below.
