Just wondering how I would get to thorpe park by train from manchester, I am willing to stay over the night before I visit the park as tiredness from traveling. I really want to visit the park, but I cannot drive (yet)

Get a Virgin train to Euston (I THINK it's about 2 hours, maybe a bit more), then get the Underground down to Waterloo, and from there it's a 40-odd minute train journey to Staines where there's a bus waiting to take you to the park.

I dunno where the best place to stay overnight is, probably somewhere close to the park, cheaper.

Rather easy really, if long...

- Train to London Euston from Manchester
- London Underground from Euston to Waterloo
- Waterloo to Staines on Train
- Bus from Staines to Park

4 simple steps to follow really...

Unless you want to get up at stupid o'clock to get a whole day at the park I'd get the train down the day before and stay somewhere fairly close by, then do the park the next day.

It can be done in a day and it doesn't involve times being too early. I got down to Thorpe from Manchester on Saturday on the 5:55 train. I was shattered by the end of the day but if you don't want to go to the expense of hotels it is possible.
