Dream Land Margate

[ATTACKHAMMER]

Went to Margate and saw dreamland. Someone told me that an arson attack destroyed the rollercoaster there.
Are they going to rebuild it as it is the oldest coaster in the Uk? Here are some pics.

It's been made stable (the middle of the coaster and station was destroyed) and work will begin in the next few months (maybe next year) to rebuild it.

I'm glad that they are going to rebuild it as I have only been on one wooden coaster :--D

By the time they finally start the part that was left standing is going to need a lot of work.

Its such a shame all this has happened to a park I have great memories of.

What was the story with the Scenic Railway anyway? Something about it being torn down but they're not aloud as the coaster is a listed building or something?

The Scenic Railway was burnt down in a arson attack. It can not be knocked down because it is a grade 2 listed building.

Thanks for sharing those photos, ATTACKHAMMER (wear out my shift key why don't you!). TBH, I was expecting it to look more devastating that that. It actually looks like it should be easy enough to reconstruct.

What a sorry and desperate place Dreamland looks nowadays. Even if it's rebuilt, it'll never return to it's glory days. They can try though.
