Woe is me, the first notable "celeb" to pop his clogs has, err, popped his clogs.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7836112.stm

I remember the beedy-eyed presenter, who used to scare me a little, from the 80's Hartbeat art show. I would send him drawings but he never featured them. And Morph is a legend in is own lunchtime.

So one point to me for posting the first death of the year! Please use this topic to post subsequent ones.

I'm so upset, thoughts to family and so forth.

RIP Tony Hart, 1925 - 2009.

There were actually two notable deaths last week as both Ricardo Montalban & Patrick McGoohan passed away on the same day (Wednesday).
Here's some photos as reminders:
Montalban as Mr Roarke on Fantasy Island

and as Kahn in Star Trek: The Wrath of Kahn

McGoohan as The Prisoner (one of my favorite TV shows ever)

On a side note - Bob May also passed away today. He played the B9 robot in the '60's TV show Lost in Space (fond childhood memory for me). "Warning Will Robinson! Warning!"

Do I get to steal Ian's point? :p

Yeah sad to see the news about Tony yesterday. I only really remember him from Morph and Hart Attack. Really loved that show and he was great at doing the art on tv.

I thought this was a topic to predict who you think is going to die this year. It's not, but anyway my money's on Elizabeth Taylor, Patrick Swayze and Karl Malden (actor from the 50s. He wasn't in any of the Saw films, so most of you will have no idea).

Ok, on topic. Very sad about Tony Hart, but I used to hate his programs anyway. Sorry, but give me a real artist any day, like Rolf Harris.

Oh, put Rolf Harris to the above list!

The doner kebab man died earlier in the week, Dave. He's not really a celeb either, so no points for that one I'm afraid.

Oh yes, how could I forget about David Vine! A point to your, Rob.

From now on, you'll only get points for being the first to announce a celeb death that has happened after this point. The member with the most points at the end of the year will win something.
