In the Loudoun topic, alexr pointed out that the rides from there are being sold on this site:

http://www.amusement-rides.com/inde...category_id=2&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=59

Out of curiosity, I had a look around the site and saw this coaster up for sale:

http://www.amusement-rides.com/inde...facturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=59

Geeky I know, but I remember seeing pictures of that coaster before and thinking it looked really cool (for a spinner). Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's the coaster from this park:

Their only other coasters are a Boomerang and a Wacky Worm, both of which also seem to be up for sale on the same site.

Can any of our Lebanese members (Nic?) confirm the closure of Habtoorland?

This roller coaster is one of the most visually stunning creations I have ever seen. It seems to meld so well with its surroundings, absolutely astounding.

Lebanon in general is in a state of crisis as their government is in limbo. I doubt it, but think there is any linkage?

Ohhhhh, disappointing, but considering Lebanon isn't exactly the most popular destination for theme park enthusiasts, not that suprising...

I have always been intrigued with this coaster. It always looks good. It's a pity for this park, Habtoorland? It's got that Boomerang and a Rapids, and that's basically about it. If this is up for sale. Surely the park's in a sever crisis, if not, probably closing down?

Irrelevent, but one really quiet day when I was working at Chessington, two kids kept riding Dragon's Fury over and over. They had really Americanised accents, so I asked where they were from and they said Lebanon. They actually told me "we have a ride like this in Lebanon". I knew of this coaster, but didn't know it was in Lebanon.

Oh Gavin! That just made me LOL in the middle of the office (and I'm sat today amongst people that already think I'm a total idiot - that's not helped!)

I think thats the awsome spinner I started a topic about a while back...?

That must be where I remembered it from, yeah. Have a look at the page where it's for sale:

http://www.amusement-rides.com/inde...facturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=59

That is the one you were talking about before, right?

How the hell is that ever going to sell? It wouldn't fit in anywhere except the location it was designed for.

Yeah that is definitely it.

I'd imagine it could fit elsewhere, but it would cost a fair bit to either landscape, or get new supports made > which would then make it look very odd.

The ride looks good however would be hard to put in any other place really. I wonder if twist and shout will sell.
A photo of the ride.

If a park wanted the ride badly enough then there's nothing that a bit of chooping and rearranging wouldn't sort out so far as any construction dilemmas go.
