I really wouldn't look too much in to the Jeep. It's been kept at the back of a car park until the campaign starts. I'd expect the park to put up a large sign like they did back in 2006 for Infusion when they're ready to drop this on us!

I want to know what the sign looks like - if it's full of nice orange flowers, then we can expect it to be in Nickelodeon Land.

More to the point, it's 2015 and if a celebrity sneezes there's an image on Twitter in seconds, so why on Earth has it been three days and we've seen no picture of this jeep?

Yeah, I've not seen anything concrete either. I have taken the step of emailing the marketing director to confirm these rumours. I said in the email that obviously he can't tell me anything but just to confirm that Project 2017 is up and running. And to let him know that we're expecting something big

And I went one further and grabbed a quick chat with Nick Thompson this afternoon by the fountains!
Asked him politely about Project 2017.
He smirked, looked to the distance and denied all knowledge.
I gave him a "Come on, your in charge",
and he chuckled, said he didn't really know,
but he hoped "It might be something really exciting",
he then smiled and strolled off.

Didn't see the Jeep on the car park,
tarpaulin or no tarpaulin,
but the car parks were full and I didn't look too hard.

I would say that a big new coaster is on the way.
And about bloody time.

Was said to be on one of the North car parks,
either the one behind the casino (Entrance) building, or the one behind the park on Bond St (I think).

I don't know if you did it intentionally or not, but I think it's kinda cool you wrote the post like a poem. And I usually don't even like poetry.


Anyway, while I don't have the highest hopes for Blackpool for some reason, they were able to construct the biggest coaster in the world once. If they manage to muster, say, half of that energy again, they could potentially build something quite awesome. Maybe not a record breaker (actually, hopefully not a record breaker, since those become increasingly contrived as records are getting harder to beat), but something altogether decent would be nice to see.

remnant of writing style of my last employment I'm afraid,
the processing system only accepted so many characters per line...
last time I was accused of writing Haiku!

The last two official "Projects" at Blackpool were both quality,
Big One and Valhalla.
A long lasting recession has hampered new ride plans in recent years.

And Lofty, isn't this the thread for rumours then?

What a strange bit of pre-emptive marketing. I'd assume it'll be a coaster and a big investment and that this is aimed at getting a buzz going amongst enthusiasts.
